Titan-style drop-clamp stem head that I made as a request for someone. I decided to hide the clamp bolt though instead of hanging it exactly off of the bottom like the original.

The stem was rotten so once it was all cut away from the inside using electric chainsaw and chisils a new stem was fabricated using 1/4" clear Douglas Fir strips epoxied in place one at a time. It will total about 8" thick when it is finished. At this forward section of the hull where it meets the deck, it is showing considerable dry rot. The forward 4 feet of deck will be removed and replaced with new plywood covered with episize and epoxy.
I was fascinated by grape stems for several years and felt compelled to collect them. I've not really done anything with them but I still have a box of them in the cupboard.
