"I'm not a Steiff cuddly toy" because I have two buttons in my ears!

... I've taken a few now and I'm still at home!

Steiff "Browny" Bear

In 1893, a German seamstress named Margarete Steiff founded a company that bears her name and is today the market leader in plush teddy bears. Margarete’s nephew Richard designed the first soft bears for his aunt, whose factory at the time produced all kinds of toys. Richard got the idea for the bear from the drawing he had made of animals in the Stuttgart Zoo.

ein bisschen spaß muss sein... :)

Winnipeg, adopted by Mummy Marian, has just arrived at Mummy Marian's home and immediately walks into the warm living room and sees Woody with the tea set.

WINNIPEG:

Good morning, bear!

I'm Winnipeg... oh... I see you've made tea for me.

That's very kind of you. I've had a long journey and I need a warm cup of tea and something tasty.

Oh... biscuits!!!! Wow... I love biscuits (takes two biscuits with his paw).

WOODY:

Eh... wait a minute... eh... Winni... eh...

WINNIPEG:

Winnipeg is my name, as I already told you.

WOODY:

Ok... Winnipeg.

You have a beautiful name, but I don't think you're behaving properly.

Firstly, it's not morning, it's afternoon.

You should have said good afternoon.

Secondly, the tea isn't just for you.

WINNIPEG:

Oh... sorry... eh...

WOODY:

My name is Woody...not Bear

WINNIPEG:

Sorry Woody... I didn't mean to.

I'm really thirsty, you know, and I have a grumbly tummy.

WOODY:

Well... come on, sit next to me, and I'll give you a cup of hot tea and you can have a biscuit.

Just one biscuit..right! More tea drinkers will be visiting soon. They'll want biscuits too.

You can get to know them.

WINNIPEG:

Oh... that sounds nice!!!

It's so cosy here... and I like you, Woody (gives him a snuffly kiss).

WOODY:

Thank you. Drink your tea now, otherwise it will get cold.

Winnipeg sips the tea.

Both Winnipeg and Woody are teddy bears from the UK, Beautifully hand crafted in Merrythought a British historical factory. The plush is mohair and the paws are made of cotton velvet.

Kreissparkasse

QUEEN LILIBET:

How are you my dear friend Lucy and how is Paddington doing?

AUNT LUCY:

I am getting a day older and it shows. Walking becomes more difficult and I am tired faster, but otherwise everything works fine.

I read the newspaper every morning and follow the news closely.

Paddington sometimes lives with me and Mummy Marian and sometimes with Daddy Jesse in Australia.

QUEEN LILIBET:

Getting older is also noticeable with me. Walking is no longer as fast. I get help from Benjamin, who has been my servant for over 40 years.

How nice to hear that Paddington is doing so well. I remember when we had tea together some time ago. It's a sweatheart!

I heard that Mummy Marian has adopted Funky, a stray. I'd like to meet him. I told you about Emmett. He now lives with Daddy Jesse in Australia. I think Funky could be a good friend to Emmett.

A moment friend Lucy....

(poses a question to Bnjamin)

Would you pour us another cup of tea Benjamin?

BENJAMIN:

At your service Ma'am

QUEEN LILIBET:

And how are Peter and Oleg doing?

Peter is good friends with Scout and Oleg with Paddy I understand. www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/

A close friendship...I like that.

AUNT LUCY:

Peter is a sweetheart, but a bit naughty at times.

Oleg takes good care of Peter.

QUEEN LILIBET:

Well my dear friend Lucy,,,,I cannot stay so long, as I have my obligations and so I must return to Bearingham Palace.

I liked the tea...it was delicious

AUNT LUCY:

I will introduce you to Funky and I am sure Peter and Oleg would love to see you too.

Aunt Lucy is a Steiff Bear.

This Steiff teddy is over 50 years old but his eyes are still clear.

The hair has become a little thin but that's normal at that age ;-)
