I had to wade into the bay at Stavros beach to get this shot perfectly front on. I can't imagine the RZ67 fits in to such a setting, but the shot was worth it.

Taking my Daughter to school a few weeks back I noticed the rigging of this ship sticking above the dunes! Deciding to take a closer look I went down the Harbour, but couldnt get a shot I was happy with, 2 hours later I'd walked round Warkworth & found myself on the northside with a much better view!

Stavros S Niarchos is a brig, that is a two masted vessel with square sails on both masts. She carries five yards on each mast (moving up: Course, Lower Topsail, Upper Topsail, Topgallant and Royal), and a total of 18 sails. In good conditions she has managed speeds of just over 13 knots (24 km/h; 15 mph).

British Tall Ship Stavros S Niarchos IMO 9222314 makes her way up the Firth of Clyde in a stiffening westerly on her approach to her berth in Greenock. She had no local Pilot onboard and some of the ship's crew having boarded a RiB to race ashore before her to take the lines
Her hull was launched in Germany in 2000 as the
PRINCESS NEPTUN and was originally to be a Trader
