British brig rigged tall ship, Sunset formerly known as Stavros S Niarchos sits berthed in the Royal Albert Dock in December 2015 when the ship was owned by the Tall Ships Youth Trust, the ship was a popular sight at Christmas in Liverpool and the forward mast was illuminated in the shape of a Christmas tree.
The tall ship 'Stavros S Niarchos' currently moored in Beaumaris until noon Oct 28th.
Stavros S Niarchos is a British brig-rigged tall ship owned and operated by the Tall Ships Youth Trust (TSYT). She is primarily designed to provide young people with the opportunity to undertake voyages as character-building exercises, rather than pure sail-training. She is also used for adult voyages and holidays, which help subsidise the operation of the ship.

A new additional :) Stavros is a Greek cactus with a lovely bushy moustache (courtesy of a local sheep). Quite the personality although he can be a bit of a prick at times lol.

Saos Ferries’ 84 metre ‘Stavros’ Ro-Ro ship can accommodate 100 cars and up to 587 passengers on routes in the Aegean Sea. The ship is seen passing the Greek island of Kos.
Such a stirring sight off the Hendon coast at lunchtime today and exciting to think that there will be a good few more sights like this next year when the Tall Ships arrive on Wearside.
