Comienzo hoy una serie esporádica de ilustracion de mis pequeñas y absurdas fantasÃas. ¿Por que?. Bueno, no es nada personal contra ustedes amables lectores de este blog de todo a cien, pero, dentro de mi nueva politica de austeridad, he decidido prescindir del coste del psiquiatra y a alguien se lo tendré que contar en su lugar ¿no?.
En una de mis fantasÃas más recurrentes, me veo en la Quintana (de Mortos), ataviado solo con un pantalón corto de tirantes y una gorra. En mis manos una guitarra Gibson y a mi espalda un enorme muro de altavoces Marshall...
La Berenguela, la inmensa campana que preside la Torre del Reloj de la Catedral de Santiago, comienza a tocar, pausadamente, las horas.
Con cada campanada mis dedos se tensan, hasta que en la quinta me arranco con las notas del Hell's Bells... yeah!

Take dust off your film with radioactivity!
It's not quite as scary as it sounds, as the Polonium isotopes used here are alpha emitters—particles stopped by a sheet of paper or your skin's outermost layer of dead cells. These are another product that's still around in 2021.
The downside is that Polonium-210 has a half-life of just 4 months or so, meaning that mine with its 1980 date code is definitely doing nothing.

I made a visit to the NRM in mid-May, in hope of photographing Winston Churchill's funeral train. Unfortunately it had been moved to a virtually unphottable position and I came away with no shots of it. However some old museum stalwarts were captured. Here, 6229 "Duchess Of Hamilton" poses with a matching LMS coach on the 13th May 2015.
If my friends wanted to play a dirty trick on me, they could get me this for my birthday :)

Best viewed large. The flooded banks of the Seine didn't prevent the Parisians from enjoying a cold but sunny weekend !
