Water surrounds, reflects, and softens the structure. Lush vegetation frames the architecture without overpowering it. The result is balance between power and serenity.

Harmony is not simply a home. It is controlled presence within untamed nature.

Design statement: We considered the socio-cultural exchange between France and Canada in the 1720s, when the original Louis XV chairs were created. Our re:design juxtaposes two realities: the extravagant prosperity of France (a plush seat) and the raw, fur-trade based economy of New France (a back laced with babiche, the traditional lacing for snowshoes).
