Visual Statements

Visual Studies piece from Art and Design Foundation 2012.

An ironic piece of work with bold statements on pieces of recycled/found

materials that wouldn't normally be noticed.

on the table near my desk.

Harmony is a statement set between monumental cliffs and cascading waterfalls. Contemporary architecture rises in clean white volumes, expansive glass, and bold dark surfaces, creating a refined contrast against the raw landscape.

Every level is designed with intention. A suspended pool commands the horizon. Open social areas flow seamlessly into gourmet and dining spaces made for elegant hosting. A circular central platform becomes the heart of the residence, transforming the surrounding scenery into a private spectacle.

Water surrounds, reflects, and softens the structure. Lush vegetation frames the architecture without overpowering it. The result is balance between power and serenity.

Harmony is not simply a home. It is controlled presence within untamed nature.

This collection of my favorite photos from this semester showcases themes such as warmth, travel, love, and joy. I enjoyed learning how to better frame memories and ideas in my photos. I feel like I am now more comfortable thinking outside of the box and experimenting with the technical and visual elements of photography.

"I tried taking pictures, but they were so mediocre. I guess every girl goes through a photography phase. You know, horses... taking pictures of your feet...."

I was just being performative when I picked this up instead of a US whisky. After all I’d normally buy Scotch. The shocking thing is it’s actually rather tasty. Win Win.

if you look hard enough you can make out an ad for lingerie in the backround....i should retake the shot

Design statement: We considered the socio-cultural exchange between France and Canada in the 1720s, when the original Louis XV chairs were created. Our re:design juxtaposes two realities: the extravagant prosperity of France (a plush seat) and the raw, fur-trade based economy of New France (a back laced with babiche, the traditional lacing for snowshoes). (* So observed Samuel de Champlain, when he saw the snowshoes of North America)

Another great looking twin header design with tapered round columns. Look what adding extra columns does to this design.

It's very strong and bold looking...columns are not just for support anymore!
