Looking at my photostream, curiously devoid of space ships, it may surprise you, but I am a bit of trekkie. I don't speak fluent Klingon or have a collection of uniforms or memorabilia, but I am enough of a fan to get together with fellow trekkies and watch movies till the early morning, whilst eating Pipius Claw and drinking blue-coloured beer.

Last Saturday we had a get-together. The host does collect memorabilia and buying something as a present wasn't really an option, as he is likely to already have it. I decided to build him a custom USS Enterprise. He enjoyed swooshing it rather a lot. Since he is a graphic designer, I also spent some time making a nice LEGO-ish box cover.

After finishing this build, I quickly realized that a still photo doesn't do justice to these sliding doors.

I then realized that awkward silence doesn't do them justice, either. Hence, the sound effects.

The Enterprise, in low orbit of an M Class planet, awaits the return of its' landing party.

Today is the Cosmonautics Day and I've just finished this cutie ♡

She's about 50cm long, that's really big for me.. xD

The Holodeck will be the last invention ever made.

One of my favourite starships. When it first appeared in Star Trek III it was depicted as thuggish and clunky, and it was only in subsequent appearances we got a good look at the design and discovered it was actually graceful and elegant.
