The Kovac Planetarium is the world's fourth - and largest - mechanical globe planetarium. 22-feet in diameter, it displays all the stars in the northern hemisphere visible to the unaided eye. This planetarium is one of the very coolest things in the Wisconsin northwoods.

I highly recommend contacting owner, Frank Kovac, for an appointment to visit the planetarium and see Frank's marvelous presentation. A wonderful experience!

"Orion - approx. 3 hours, 2007"
Watercolor and colored pencil on paper
41" x 50"
Reprocessed the images, used different perspective for stitching, and also decided to make image B&W, as colour difference made image just too difficult to get right, and look pleasing.
I think the limiting magnitude for this image is about ~14-15
I have made this creative commons, so feel free to use it however you want.

Left mouse clicking on the screen will enlarge an area; use slide bars to scroll.
