I got lucky enough to be able to spend some time with this lioness on several occasions, spanning multiple days.
95% of the time, she was so relaxed that you'd be forgiven to almost mistake her for a cuddly housecat. The remaining 5% of the time, all it took was a brief stare to quickly get rid of that notion.
I was chasing Sugus, our cat, around the flat trying out the new animal eye auto-focus feature of the Nikon Z firmware. It works quite nicely in my opinion.

Yesterday, during my walk, I encountered this cheerfully calling Song Sparrow in a tree nearby. It sang a little longer, then started staring at me. Usually, that gives me about a second to finish, but this one stayed for a good three or four seconds. I honored his courage by blinking first and leaving. He was still on the branch as I walked away!

Rescued Rintin from my sister's house in 2009. He was abandon by a previous owner(micro chipped). He is in good care with many kitty siblings at a friend's house. Happy and currently over 20lbs!
