Yup, I blinked first.

Love their oh-so-serious looks and expressions. I had taken several shots of this bald eagle and I think he was weary of my clicks and attention.

He soon left, pic shown in comments.

Thanks for your looks though!

It snowed again yesterday and seems spring is still a while away. I’ve been looking at Flickr friends’ photos and seeing all these beautiful images of crocuses and apple blossoms and I’m green with envy! I went into my files and found these two baby chicks from last year as my spring photo stand-ins. LOL

Happy weekend Flickr friends. Tina and the Puglets xo

I would like to thank all of you that have taken the time to view and comment on my photos, it is very much appreciated.

I wanna fall asleep forever

I wanna learn to disappear

Can you take away the mess, that’s been building in my chest

Drowning out the song I used to hear

Love’s a violent word, don’t you forget it

I ain’t saying that you ever could

I’ve seen my seasons change

I was crying out your name

Remember when we used to feel so good

So don’t forget to love me in damnation

For the living I have earned on love gone wrong

And we’ll open up old wounds in celebration

If we don’t bleed, it don’t feel like a song

You got your honest intuition

You got your cigarette smoke

And I’m all your oldest fears, the black mark on last year

But I got the hope you let me hold

So let them judge and shove us under

And let them do the devil’s work

Let them calculate the crimes in all our broken rhymes

But let us find the heaven following the hurt

So don’t forget to love me in damnation

For the living I have earned on love gone wrong

And we’ll open up old wounds in celebration

If we don’t bleed, it don’t feel like a song

The collard aracari a beautiful bird and wonderful detail on his beak. His markings make me think of a zipper. He is truly beautiful and it is always a thrill when they fly in. Their eye is amazing and you simply can not get away from the definite stare,

Wishing you a beautiful and blessed Friday !!

geraten die Stare in Aufregung

Inquisitive Stare was taken at The Hunter Nature Center which is located in the Bronx, New York, near the Long Island Sound, that is connected to the Atlantic Ocean. On the day that I photographed this beautiful animal, I woke up early that morning and went out to make fog pictures. As I was wakling alone on the trail, up from no where was this lovely deer, which I found to be fascinating; Both of us were surprised to see each other. We stared at each and soon as I made my picture, he just walk away. He gave me an excellent pose and a beautiful picture. I love it very much and hope you like it too.

Another day, another antelope. In a staring 'contest", the animal always wins. I am too busy fumbling with my camera and marveling at their beauty. Antelopes always look so unusual when captured from the front. The park in Nairobi was a great way to start off a safari.

The Old Town in Warsaw was established in the 13th century but almost totally demolished in the second World War. After the war Old Town was meticulously rebuilt. As many as possible of the original bricks were reused. However the reconstruction was not necessarily built accurately to pre-war Warsaw, often by deferring to an earlier period, attempting to improve upon the original, or by adding an authentic looking facade to cover a more modern building. The rubble was sifted for reusable decorative elements, which were reinserted into their original places.

Today Old town in Warsaw is listed as one of Unescos world heritages sites.

The intense stare of an owl, especially this Northern Hawk Owl is almost hypnotic.

Sometimes we stare so long at a door that is closing that we see too late the one that is open.

"Acorn Woodpeckers are medium-sized woodpeckers with straight, spike-like bills and stiff, wedge-shaped tails used for support as the birds cling to tree trunks..... Acorn Woodpeckers are very unusual woodpeckers that live in large groups, hoard acorns, and breed cooperatively. Group members gather acorns by the hundreds and wedge them into holes they’ve made in a tree trunk or telephone pole. Acorn Woodpeckers also spend considerable time catching insects on the wing. They give raucous, scratchy waka-waka calls frequently... In groups with more than one breeding female, the females put their eggs into a single nest cavity. A female usually destroys any eggs in the nest before she starts to lay, and more than one third of all eggs laid in joint nests are destroyed. Once all the females start to lay, they stop removing eggs."

An Osprey gives me an intense stare after landing on top of an old hydro pole. They are magnificent birds to photograph whether perched or in flight.

What could be more intimidating than having a stare down with a Northern Hawk Owl.

The sign actually says 'The Perfect Crime'..... Felt very uncomfortable putting this gentleman up on Flickr without a very amusing and disarming title. I couldn't think of one so I have cropped it! Hence it is significantly more grainy than I would have liked.

Thanks for visiting......

Friendly deer here for a visit
