The wings on the fully upgraded zergling should be more tucked in behind the limbs, closer to the body. However, as I am working on a very small size here I eventually went with this design. Here, I can rotate and swing the wings into a variety of positions.
This zergling rests mostly on its feet, but the tail can also help to stabilize if I need to swing the feet down to make it stand taller (similar to the way a kangaroo balances).
More Starcraft II! This time it's the Viking. I'm not really pleased with this one :/ It doesn't even transform.
Merry Christmas!
Still working on it, part of them are not my idea. Trying to make characters more figure alike, less blocks alike. Any suggestion or help?
Starcraft II's AH/G-24 Banshee.
The Banshee is one of the new Terran units for the upcoming StarCraft II game. I've been wanting to make a StarCraft MOC for a while now, and as I was looking through the new models for the game, I finally decided to build.
I picked the Banshee because it is one of the few units I could build in minifig scale without being way too large. This model is a mix between the images I found on the official site as well as others which I believe are official as well.
This took me roughly a week to build.
The basic concept behind the wings/body has remained the same since I first started building this a year ago. I completely redesigned it in the last two weeks, but the basic idea is that a succession of two click hinges on each side give the wings their shape. Added with the 'ribs', it helps give the drone that organic shape.
