Good Saturday morning everyone, and hope a good one is had by everyone. On my continued walk through the wetlands lat evening I came across about 15-17 of this species, and one by one they started to take off and gave me some decent chances to do some photography of them which is always welcome, so there may be more down the road. Tecoma stans is a species of flowering perennial shrub in the trumpet vine family, Bignoniaceae, that is native to the Americas. Common names include yellow trumpetbush, yellow bells, yellow elder, ginger-thomas. Tecoma stans is the official flower of the United States Virgin Islands and the floral emblem of The Bahamas.
Woensdag 10 augustus 2022 was de laatste echte dag dat we in Tsjechië waren. We moesten onze spullen deze dag pakken, omdat we de volgende ochtend vroeg zouden vertrekken richting de overnachting in Duitsland. 's Avonds hadden we zin en ook tijd over om nog een kijkje te nemen aan de plaatselijke spoorlijn waar we veel geweest zijn toen. We kwamen hoofdzakelijk voor een duikbril met een passagierstrein. We hadden besloten om naar Vlkoš te rijden waar je 's avonds ook leuk kunt staan. De tractie voor de passagierstrein werd geleverd door de fraaie CD 754 075. Na de passage van deze trein werd nog even op de buurtgoederentrein naar Kyjov gewacht die we ook mooi in de avondzon wisten te fotograferen.

Gamla stan (The Old Town), Staden mellan broarna (The Town between the Bridges), is the old town of Stockholm, Sweden. Gamla stan consists primarily of the island Stadsholmen. The surrounding islets Riddarholmen, Helgeandsholmen, and Strömsborg are officially part of, but not colloquially included in, Gamla stan. The word "stan" is simply a contraction of the word "staden" ("sta'n"), meaning "the town."

For someone who was once embarrassed to be a comic book writer, he sure brought a lot of joy to thousands of people. Including myself. Sure, he didn't do it all alone, he was surrounded by talented people like Kirby and Ditko, and countless others. But you can't take away his contribution to some of the greatest characters in comic book history. RIP Stan
