What is this life if, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs

And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,

Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,

Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty's glance,

And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can

Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.

the lady in centre is literally working on a stall, right on it. still it's one way of keeping an eye on those shoppers of the light fingered variety that are among the crowds at every market.

Dear customers

We have two Japanese food stalls selling at the food court.

One is Imagawayaki, which has red bean paste and custard cream. The other is Takoyaki, which has octopus in it.

In addition to food stall sets, you can also purchase just food.

Available on January 5 @ Food Court

The three ladies are setting up their market stall. Bacolod City, Philippines.

These were the B photos from an idea I had. So I decided to make something else with them. Still working on the project using the "A photos". In case you were wondering, I went into the boys' room to shoot the images of the guys :). We made sure no one was in there at the time ;).

That is the then first scene I saw when I arrived Essaouira.

Rustic, laid-back, sunshine, sea-breeze, lots of food and stalls, fish village all these words come to my mind when I am thinking of Essaouira.

All over the world, the electronic and online media have affected the print media adversely. India is one of the few countries where the newspapers and magazines are holding out against this onslaught in terms of circulation, readership and advertising revenue. May not be for long. Tamil nadu, despite lagging behind Kerala in literacy and media penetration, still has a healthy press in terms of variety, and circulation.

I ran out of the grey fabric I'm using so this quilt is going to go into time out for a week or so until I can get some more. In the meantime I really like the addition of the thin pink border. I was worried this was getting too "edgy" for a baby quilt and I think the pink border helps soften it up some. So now the big question- how do I quilt and what color thread should I use?
