On May 22, 2014, the School of Arts and Enterprise presented "Broadway Through the Ages," an epic adventure featuring some of the most acclaimed performances to stage the famed NYC Broadway scene.
Netherlands, Rotterdam, Theater festival De Parade 2007. Scene from the 30-minute musical comedy play "De Verleider" (The Seducer) by stage company Schöne Welt, directed by Dorus van der Meer.
In this scene, The Seducer (right, Willem Weemhoff) is about to do the wild thing with his latest catch (left, Lenina Ungari). His other love interest (front, Ari Deelder) is sleeping, unaware what is going on in the same bed.
I thought this was a very amusing short play, with captivating visuals such as these and effective integration of music and drama.

I was sitting on the front row, used ISO 640, P-mode of the 1D and the 16-35 f/2.8 L lens Only light source was the stage lamps.
2Steel Girls put on a great show Saturday night. The attendance was not what it should have been for these ladies, but hopefully they will come back before they get too big to perform at the Princess. They will, get better known and soon. They are a great country singing duo!
2Steel Girls, Country Music Duo from NBC’s, The Voice, season 3 team Blake Shelton were born and raised in Jackson County Ohio but now live in Nashville, TN. Most think that Allison & Krystal Steel of 2Steel Girls are sisters, but they are not, they are mother and daughter and the only mother, daughter duo to ever perform on the show.

Thamasoma Jyotirgamaya is one of the three lines of the Pavamana Mantra is an ancient Indian mantra introduced in the Brihadaranyaka upanishad which means “may the light of knowledge remove the darkness of ignorance”.
The girl in the image is a student of the well known kuchipudi dance performer Haleem khan.
The stage was lit dramatically with minimum lighting and it was a challenge for me to capture. I was a little concerned about the noise because I was using a crop sensor camera. So, I decide to shoot with a low shutter speed and I was waiting for the dancer to pause to capture the dancing postures. After taking multiple shots I came out with this image.

Myrtle is the one on the left, her socks soaked from standing on the wet stage without her shoes. Like most shows of this kind, they took a long time to get everyone warmed up before engaging in the usual audience participation.

The month of margazi..
One of the beautiful months, falls every year by December 15th to January 13th.
Even in our literature a female lover or young girls compared with the month “MARGAZI”
Yes, such a beautiful month in the Tamil calendar...
A good season for chilled, misty air, cold wave filled early mornings...
A season for” music and dance” festivals allover state of TamilNadu
Young girls in the family happily made “kolams” (Rangoli) in front of their homes
Here in metros some how we managed with some kind of “coloured kolam”
But the original season here we can describe as a musical season.
Yes most of the auditorium flooded with overseas fans, of course local people throughout
“MARGAZI”month.
This year from 25-12 -2012 TO 25-01-2013 Tamilnadu tourism department celebrating a month long Music and dance festival at Seashore temple and i tried some stage light shots .
the program really fantastic with cool sea breeze setting a great mood as a photographer as well a music lover.

Here is a brief video of one of the numbers in the Tharu cultural show in Chitwan, Nepal with surprisingly very little colour in the costumes. In fact the lady wearing in red and her partner are the only bits of colour in a show where almost everyone is wearing vanilla white. I was quite surprised at this as most cultural or folk shows are generally a riot of colour. The Tharus are mainly known for their magnificent home decoration styles, decorated rice containers, homemade clay utensils, etc. They are also known for large families. Earlier there could be 40-50 members in a family living under the same roof. With their own distinctive living styles and culture, it is indeed fascination to know more about the Tharu community. This is all the more pertinent as very few members of the Tharu community have traveled abroad or gone outside, due to which their culture is unique, and is not influenced by any other culture, from either outside or from inside Nepal.
