"Drummer Justin Chesarek lends a new perspective to familiar American songwriting ranging from gospel spirituals to pop songs, plus original material by Chesarek. The band, featuring faculty bassist Marc Miller, guitarist Patrick Arthur, and vocalist Kati Stewart, will introduce the jazz element of improvisation to songs where it did not previously exist and bridge the gap between contemporary songwriting and traditional jazz. Songs to include "Friendship" (Pops Staples), "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window" (The Beatles), "Lo and Behold" (James Taylor), and more."

Sometimes you experience a truly special moment without really being able to see just how special it is. ❤️
On Saturday, we took the stage with the SLCS Cheerleaders for the big Michael Jackson Tribute Show.
We had spent weeks training, practicing, laughing, sometimes even getting a little frustrated, and always trying to make everything just a little bit better. And then, suddenly, there it was – the evening we had been looking forward to for so long! 📣✨
When you're right in the middle of a show, there are so many things to think about. You're focused on the routines, the music, the timing, and of course, doing your very best together as a team.
But what does it all look like from the audience's point of view? That's something you hardly get to see yourself.
And then came Manuela! ❤️
She captured our show in so many wonderful photos and videos and kindly shared these beautiful memories with me.
When I watched the first recordings, I was actually sitting in front of my screen with goosebumps.
All those lights, the music, the movements, all the cheerleaders on stage… and suddenly, you see everything through completely different eyes.
I knew we had experienced a special evening. But being able to watch it again from the outside is such an indescribably beautiful feeling. ❤️

Thank you for your time, your effort, and for giving us the chance to relive these special moments. It's a gift that truly means so much to me! ❤️

SLCS All Stars – Michael Jackson Tribute Show | October 31, 2026
WOW! What an incredible night! 😍
Yesterday, the big moment had finally arrived!
After all those hours of training, countless repetitions, and sometimes a little bit of chaos, we finally got to perform our Michael Jackson Tribute Show together.
And what can I say?
Two hours filled with music, dancing, and incredible show moments! ❤️
The moment the music started, the first laser beams swept through the stadium, and we began our choreography together, all the nervousness suddenly disappeared.
Sparkling suits everywhere, black and white hats, spectacular lighting effects, and of course, those unmistakable Michael Jackson moves!
Ohhhhh, how much I love moments like these! 😍
And then came our headstand formation!
HAHAHA! Who would have thought that one day I'd be standing upside down in a stadium alongside so many other cheerleaders? 😂
But behind this show were countless hours of practice, patience, and a whole lot of teamwork.
Things didn't always go perfectly right away. Sometimes we had to practice the same moves over and over again.
But we stuck together, supported one another, and worked as a team to create something truly special.
And that's exactly what SLCS means to me. ❤️
I'm so happy and proud to be part of this team.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this show possible – our trainers, the organizers, everyone who performed, and of course, everyone who came to watch and cheer us on!
And a very special smile goes to my Valerie. ❤️
Another wonderful experience together that will always have a special place in our VALMARA treasure chest.
And a big, heartfelt hello to Cara, Sandi, and Manu! ❤️

EN When words become too heavy, the body takes over. It invents a language no one has ever learned, yet everyone somehow understands.
Un peu de disco, quelques paillettes et une danseuse qui décide de quitter le sol quelques instants. J’aime ce genre de moment où tout semble simple : un mouvement, une lumière, un sourire… et soudain, la scène prend une autre allure. Pas besoin d’aller très haut pour donner l’impression de voler ^^
EN A little disco, a few sequins, and a dancer deciding to leave the floor for a moment. I love those moments when everything feels simple: a movement, a light, a smile… and suddenly, the stage feels completely different.
You don't have to go very high to make it look like flying ^^
FR Le mouvement naît bien avant le premier pas.
Il commence dans le silence, dans les heures invisibles où le corps apprend à dépasser ses limites et où l'esprit refuse d'abandonner. Chaque geste porte la mémoire d'innombrables efforts, de doutes surmontés et de victoires discrètes que personne ne voit.
Ici, le danseur ne désigne pas seulement une direction. Il affirme une intention.
Son regard est déjà tourné vers l'horizon qu'il s'est choisi. Son corps devient le prolongement de sa volonté, sculpté par la discipline, guidé par la passion et animé par une détermination qui ne connaît ni raccourci ni compromis.

EN Movement begins long before the first step.
It starts in silence, in those unseen hours when the body learns to push beyond its limits and the mind refuses to surrender. Every gesture carries the memory of countless efforts, conquered doubts, and quiet victories witnessed by no one.
Here, the dancer is not merely pointing toward a direction.
He is declaring an intention.
His gaze is already fixed on the horizon he has chosen. His body becomes an extension of his will, shaped by discipline, driven by passion, and sustained by a determination that accepts neither shortcuts nor compromise.

It is found in the ability to keep moving forward when everything suggests stopping.

Mohiniyattam, also spelled Mohiniattam (Malayalam: മോഹിനിയാട്ടം), is a traditional South Indian dance from Kerala, developed by the great Tamil nattuvanar (dance master) Vadivelu,one of the Thanjavur Quartet. It is one of the eight Indian classical dance forms. It is considered a very graceful dance meant to be performed as a solo recital by women. The term Mohiniyattam comes from the words "Mohini" meaning a woman who enchants onlookers and "aattam" meaning graceful and sensuous body movements. The word "Mohiniyattam" literally means "dance of the enchantress".
