Elburg is een Hanzestad in Nederland. Het is gelegen aan het Veluwemeer en het Drontermeer in de provincie Gelderland, en is de hoofdplaats van de gemeente Elburg. De stad Elburg is vooral bekend vanwege haar middeleeuwse vesting met een nagenoeg volledig recht stratenplan. Eerder deze week was ik aan het verkennen bij Nijmegen voor een foto opdracht. Dit stadsgezicht kon ik niet laten lopen te fotograferen bij het begin van het blauwe uur.
Vanaf as. dinsdag gaat de 100 editie van de vierdaagse van start. Nijmegen is dan weer de wandelhoofdstad van de wereld.

Le parc Victoria est un parc de la ville de Québec situé aux limites des quartiers Saint-Sauveur et Saint-Roch.
Histoire
Avant son inauguration en 1897, le terrain appartenait à la congrégation religieuse des Augustines de la Miséricorde de Jésus. Le parc est nommé en l'honneur de la reine Victoria en raison de la célébration de son 60e anniversaire de règne cette année-là .
Le parc possède des infrastructures sportives pour le soccer, le volleyball, le baseball, le basketball, le tennis, la planche à roulettes et le hockey.
Sur le terrain de ce parc se trouve aussi le stade Canac où évoluent les Capitales de Québec et, auparavant, les Carnavals de Québec, entre autres.

History
Before its inauguration in 1897, the land belonged to the religious congregation of the Augustines of the Miséricorde of Jesus. The park is named in honour of Queen Victoria because of the celebration of her 60th anniversary of reign that year.
The park has sports facilities for soccer, volleyball, baseball, basketball, tennis, skateboarding and hockey.
On the grounds of this park is also the Canac stadium where the Capitales de Québec and, previously, the Carnavals de Québec, among others, play.

Voormalige Stads-Watertoren is verbouwd als Hotel Augustus.
De metalen constructies op het dak zijn geen verzinsels van deze tijd maar een weergave van de torentjes die er in het verleden op stonden.
Uiteraard hoort het trappenhuis wel bij deze tijd als veiligheidsvoorziening voor de hotelgasten.
Het torentje in het midden voorzien van het windvaantje heeft in het verleden nogal eens van hoogte verschild.
