Happy Holidays from Southern California! For this textured image, I started with a recent sunset photo from Ventura, California. In Hipstamatic, I used dancer film, Vincent lens, and red-eye gel flash. In Stackables, I used the Haven preset. I finished with a desert dunes border in Formulas. #sunset #venturacalifornia #hipstamatic #stackablesapp #formulasapp #alteredreality #ethereal_moods #editfromthesoul #everything_edited #artistry_flair #textured #masters_in_artistry #dailytextures

Photography is an Immediate Reaction
Drawing is a Meditation.
...as Henri Cartier-Bresson put it, however I love to combine them both in my work: "Reactive Meditation"!
Photograph taken with Hipstamatic camera (iPhone 4s) and processed with BlurFX and StackablesApp.
The fire in our fireplace was fading when I pulled out my iPhone to capture this; processing was done in the Stackables app.

"God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade:
Exit seraphim and Satan's men:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead."
- excerpt from "Mad Girl's Love Seeing Song", Sylvia Plath

One of my daughter's cats, Molly. It's #Christmas time for cats when extra people show up and willingly offer lots of rubs. #Stackablesapp Taken in Denver, Colorado, with my iPhone 6s+
Jan. 19, 2021: Textured image from a week ago I did not post. The original flower image was taken with a Lensbaby at Banyon Park in Newbury Park, California. The texture is from the weathered preset in the Stackables app. The border is from the burlap border in the PhotoToaster app. #newburypark #banyonpark

They gave me a number. I guess it was a kind of "welcome-to-planet-earth-gift". Yeah, to keep track on me and watch over over me...
ASSHOLES!
I'm not a bloody number! I'm a human being and I have a name!
I can so easily spend time and energy on things, that I know by heart will lead me nowhere, but to end up exhausted, anxious and disappointed. Still I do not listen to myself... I keep fooling myself with, "it's because of my goodwill I do it. To satisfy others..." and so on.
Only those 'others' doesn't give a damn and I know it... So, it just has to stop!
It's my promise to myself, that I will stay true to myself and only put my love, passion and energy on people, or projects, that really matters. No more energy-thieves allowed!
Let the mask fall and stay true to myself and others.
This kind of love, regardless and only:
"You owe me nothing for giving the love that I give
You owe me nothing for caring the way that I have
I give you thanks for receiving it's my privilege
And you owe me nothing in return" /Alanis Morissette
Edit: Taken with iPad default camera and processed with HandyPhoto, RePix StackablesApp (beta version 3.0) and Instagram (some basic but minimal adjustments).
This was meant to be a sketch for a dress, but when I went to look for fabrics... Long story! They have no homes, no country, no papers... Nothing!
The least I can do is to dedicate this image to them and put that money I should have spent on fabrics, into something so much more important.
Because I can!
