Canon EF 100mm f2.8 Macro is not an easy lens. The shallow DoF on this lens makes it hard to frame shots. At this time I am not sure if I have received a soft lens.
Many of the lorries are like this- some look truly unstable as they career around bends ahead of us.

I could have added many more remotes but thought this was adequate. We've amassed a lot of these over the years.

Have a look at the stacked image of milky way processed in deepskystacker with 23 individual images of 30 sec exposure each at 1000 asa and f/3.5 taken with nikond80 manually.

South Stack is famous as the location of one of Wales' most spectacular lighthouses, South Stack Lighthouse. It has a height of 41 metres (135 feet). It has a maximum area of 7 acres.
This is an impressive octagon stack. It was behind St. Joseph's Hall. Anyone have any idea what this complex was, back in the day?
St. Joseph's Hospital--Deer Lodge
Origin: The Hospital was established the latter part of the 1890's by the order of Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kansas. It was a general hospital, with a nursery to care for children on a boarding basis. The hospital accepted unmarried mothers three or four months prior to their due date. The women were then allowed to remain to work in the hospital following delivery. From Montana History WIKI - Montana Orphanages
What is it about red flowers and objects? My wife picked a few of these from the garden and I just had to capture it. The stack was a better way to get all petals in focus. Stack of 16 images with Zerene Stacker (DMap). f4.5, 1/125s, single diffused flash to lower left.
A test using Helicon Focus using the default DMap settings with 17 shots @ f8 just to keep the entire lens in focus. Compared to single shot @ f32.
One might think that the focus stacking doesn't present much of an advantage. If you look closely, the single shot suffers from CA (see the detail of the "Z 40mm 1:2..." text) due to the effects of diffraction. Make no mistake, the 105Z is a fabulous lens but it cannot escape physics.
Practice focus stacking on microscope pix I took with my microscope, my Canon T4i Rebel camera, a 15 dollar macro tube and a 30 dollar DSLR-to-microscope adapter.
This was my first try stacking. Hope to get better at this.
Also the one of the stuffed animals is practicing bokeh while everyone is asleep. lol.
