I'm not much for identifying the exact type of squirrel this is, but we have quite a few of them in the area we are staying in. They are quite active during the day and can be seen climbing trees and fences as well as running around on the ground. This one was enjoying a seed pod it had just found.

Now I have to figure out a way to keep these guys away from my feeder!

On my Way home from work this evening I called into a local wood for a quick wander around. I have driven past many times but this was my first visit.
