With the birth of Denham, came the growing squeaky toy collection, a gift from me to he... the ladder was once used for absolute necessity having stored cloth diapers, bedding for the cot, singlets, towels face washers and bibs for baby. We no longer have need of these items and the shelves have since been replaced with more medical type squeaks and dolls. It has been so much fun sourcing different squeaky toys and it tickles my heart so when he carries one around with him each day.

Felix enjoying a chat with one of his friends. He was poorly this week, and spent 2 nights in hospital having antibiotics for a virus, but he's home now and smiling again. And he'll be three months old tomorrow. So I thought I'd allow myself an upload of the little man to celebrate.

I was really lucky to meet a woman who has collected Squeak toys for 25 years!! She has recently decided to sell of her collection. I was the lucky one to be able to buy some treasures from her. This catalog is probably my favorite thing from today, but there are many great things I got!

More of the tree to see... to be honest, it's still a work in progress! *Blush* I know, it's nearly New Year's Day!! I was hoping to adorn it with colourful pom-pom ornaments here and there and around the lower branches. Also, I wanted to add some candy lollipops but, with two little boys... well, three if you count Kyza, it has been a little tricky to do all. Oh, and I have had some of the decorations shift in position (not as neat as I would like) due to the little Foxx pounding the floorboards as he moves swiftly past it day in and day out -lol! Actually, little Fernando Squeaky Horse has shifted the most on the bottom right and has managed to move an entire branch from where he began... but, the concept was there and it will be carried through to our little boy's 1st Birthday party, early next year. Vintage Circus themed it will be for he and clowns will abound! So, it's an incomplete tree with ornaments slightly out of place or position... such a shame when a circus performance is about perfect execution -sigh!
Wally turns 5 today! He seems very content with his presents. He got a bunch of treats, a few squeaky toys and a personalized birthday cake! He even got a featured post on The Daily Corgi yesterday, Corgi Dogs today and his own Facebook page to boot! Happy birthday Wally!

So, the light is not fantastic for taking pics but, this allows you to see what Christmas is all about in our home this year... everything setup with baby Denham in mind! The white bird hanging from the lights, this is the one he would stroke each night under the arch on his way to dreamland with Daddahhh, carrying him in his arms. Bird is also, one of his favourite words. The snail is a Squeaky pull toy to represent the ones that have been given to him at birth (my gift to he) and the Gnome is from his Birthday... the white tree has a Vintage Windmill attached to the top instead of a Star and it is another reminder of his 1st Birthday! If only I could manage to cleanup the rest of the scene to photograph... will try in the next few days!
Slowly setting up Denham's new bedroom... this was his Christmas present from me, a little kitchen setup from Ikea. I have had fun sourcing some vintage wares to use with it... some Cookie Jars made in Japan sit on top, the cooking pots and pans with faces (always adored this set as a child) and some other little bits and bobs are hidden away in the cupboards. He is loving it and has made many a pretend soup, cooked sausages and served ice-cream with it. Oh, he does love to make cups of tea for you, too... think this comes from watching Grandma make them for Granddad!
this silly fish is probably my favorite of the Sun Rubber co. animals that are not designed by Ruth E. Newton
