Now that's a Bomb Squad trooper.

I couldn't resist getting the Forgeworld boarding shields. If i ever actually play 40k then these guys will be veterans in a command squad armed with storm shield and storm bolter.

Week 13 Assignment

Who needs friend when you have your own squad? For this week's assignment I decided to use the layer mask technique to create my composite image. I found it much easier instead of selecting each individual body. This composite image consists of four individual photos. My niece and I went out to the park when we had that gorgeous sunset back in November. I chose one image as the base photo based on how intense the sky looked. While the layer mask technique was easier to use, the editing process was long and a bit difficult. At that time, the sun was setting so fast. If you look closely, some parts of the bodies and the trees at the right hand side are a bit blurry because the shutter speed was not fast enough even though I was using a tripod. Also, the images after the first shot were much darker, so, I had to go into Lightroom and lighten the exposure of each body using the adjustment brush. I also used the graduated filter to lighten the foreground more as well. Another difficulty I ran into was with blending. I wanted to make the image look as natural as possible so it took me a while to edit the photo because I kept tweaking various edits to blend the edges of the bodies. While not exactly my top favorite photo of this semester, I still love how the sky looks.
