Because this is the last photo of Delta Squad,I wanted to go out with a shot of them goin' H.A.M.
It almost looks like a poster for Republic Commando 2 (if they ever make the damn game)
This was a project years in the making and because of that, the difference between my old Delta Squad and my new ones is night and day. I still look back at the old DS and chuckle because I remember saying that they couldn't get any better. I was wrong...soooo wrong. Sometimes proving yourself wrong is exactly what you need :)

As you may have noticed by my posts and favorites, I'm a pretty big Squad fan. More so of the 80's version but most will do.
Anyways, I saw the movie today, and yeah, the critics are mostly just full of BS. It was actually really entertaining, and aside from a few issues (Which I'll list below) really really solid. I'll list some major pros and cons, and try to keep my mouth spoiler-free.
Pros: -Will Smith. Just. Will Smith. I'm not much of a Smith fan, and I'm a huge Deadshot fan, so he had a lot to live up to in my mind, and he delivered.
-The Squads' interactions and banter with each other
-El Diablo is a surprisingly great character. Especially cause I feel like they've barely done anything with him in the comics.
-Boomerang and Croc don't do much but they're really fun to watch.
-Margot Robbie in the second half, but not the first.
-Viola Davis. Period.
-Lots of great action pieces, and a few mild twists that they left out of the trailers that were pretty great.
-Cameos!
-Slipknot does exactly what you think he's going to, and it's all he needs to do.
Cons: Some the editing is a little whack, but it's a little easier to get past
- I kinda thought Katana's soul sword would come more into play, but it doesn't
-June Moon (Enchantress's human host) gets no characterization.
-Pretty standard plot, but that's fine.
-Margot Robbie in the first half, but not the second
-Who is Enchantress's brother supposed to be? Was that Incubus? cause he has little to do with Enchantress originally.
Overall though It was awesome. I plan on seeing it a few more times.
Last thoughts: Leto's only in it for eight. . . *very* weird minutes, they totally waste Common, some of the trailer lines didn't make it in but such is editing, and the minifigures you see before you are nothing new, I just haven't been able to cobble together any new movie-accurate ones. :

Aiwha Squad was an elite clone commando unit, and was part of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. This unit was named after the native Aiwhas of Kamino. IT is comprised of members (from left to right) RC-2088 "Zag", Tyto, RC-1013 "Sarge"and Di'kut.

Wanted to make a big suicide squad after seeing Brikc_the_legend's so yea I went for it using my own designs also thx to him for helping me w the king shark head.

The official Lego Suicide Squad line-up, which I'm super stoked to finally have all of, even if i'm not completely sold on all of their designs (lookin' at you, Croc). Made a few minor tweaks to Slade, otherwise these guys are 100% official.

Looking back, in the wake of the utter unending blandness that is Rebirth Squad, Maybe I've been too hard on the New 52 Squad books. Like, they're certainly not good, but at least they have personality, and we got some interesting line-ups out of it. And hell, even the final arc I'll admit to kind of enjoying. Plus like, look how colorful and edgy these guys all look together. Screw it, New 52 Squad is actually kind of fun.
Anyways, I just wanted to get a group shot of my modern N52 Squad while I was at the parent's house and had access to em.
Black Spider is stolen wholesale from Lego Skeleton, and a couple other guys are slightly updated, but it's not really worth mentioning.
Does anyone else find it weird that the modern incarnation of Cheetah is like, running around buckass naked, but without any visible naughty bits? That's always sat real bizarre with me.

And here we are with the group shot of my completed Delta Squad. These guys were a ton of fun (and work) to make and it was so worth it.
The helmets, backpacks, and weapons were all made by CloneArmyCustoms! He makes some excellent parts. All the decals were designed and applied by me, though the leg designs were inspired by AndrewVxtc. Decals cover every surface of the figure, and they turned out really well. Sev's and Scorch's weapons were modified CAC weapons. I drybrushed acrylic black paint all over the figures to give them a really sweet battle-damaged look. Check out the individual shots for a better look!

Yes. Beta squad was born during our advancing into Gand. Unfortunately, our mission to destroy the hyper drive on Grievous' ship failed. During that mission, Stripes was killed, sadly. But we'll be ready for Manaan. We now have new armor and paint, ready for action.

Finally we have Blue Squad. I really like the way these guys came out. Jared's efforts to ensure the white portions of the armor stand out on top of a blue fig & helmet are great! These guys are very striking in person.
