I made this very precious set of sprite's

We had to model an existing bottle with a thread as one of our assignments. I am in my second year now and this will be in my january portfolio. I have included other renders to show stages of progress

Update: There appears to be faint green air glow above the thunderstorm cloud deck.

Looking north-northeast as storm moves slowly from left to right.

Although there was no indication in people.ee.duke.edu/~cummer/cmc/new6 of sprite activity, a extremely active, continuous lightning display was occurring to my north from dusk through 11:30PM when more clouds moved into my area.

I was attempting to capture some pre-peak activity of the Perseids Meteor Shower, when this lightning storm appeared. In nearly two hours, a recorded at least 15 sprite events. These images are the better ones.

Used Nikon d7100, Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 @ f/2.8 (not f/5.6), iso 1600, and exposure of 10s. Photoshop was used to increase contrast and reduce some noise (grainness).

So turns out my favourite doll head seller on eBay is selling heads of the Water Sprite doll which I’m glad about cuz I always wanted her but couldn’t justify the $100 for a doll I was gonna strip, and modify to my tastes. I adore her sculpt and face paint but I hated her model muse body and tinsel hair so this solved quite a few problems.

I decided to go with a Poppy Parker body cuz I had one that was floppy as heck and had stains and mismatched hands so I knew the collector style body would suit the head. I used Tamiya Fine Surface Primer and it coated the body really nicely. I then rubbed in blue pastel on the surface so it matches her well enough and it brought out a lot of the details without it looking too off.

I was in pains trying to figure out a hair colour for her cuz all the blues I saw were too dark or clashed with her skin tone and paint, but then I pulled out some random hanks of hair and found this Ashy Silver saran was a perfect match for her eyebrows. I opted to give her obscenely long hair cuz she was a holy grail doll of mine and I was already trotting out the best work for her lol.

Of course I’m adoring how she looks but I lack any sufficiently opulent clothing for her. She looks amazing in anything but I really want a nice, well made romantic and ridiculously complicated outfit for her cuz she’s worth it.

She's so interesting.

I've never connected so much with such an older woman before.

We share a lot of the same qualities, we are both strong & independent & we rely on only ourselves.

I love her with all of my soul.
