It’s Iris Time: My backyard garden has now added these gorgeous, velvety, frilly purple Irises. They are opening a few at a time. I’ll be adding more to this album as they continue to open and flourish until the whole Iris patch has opened❣️Photo images credited to Vickie L Klinkhammer of Vickielynne Photography and Designs (VLP&Designs)

A small tree begins to bloom at the edge of the parking lot where my wife and I park our vehicles.

Just to say, 'Happy Springtime' folks and to mark the end of the American Football section.

An intrepid Torontonian, enjoying a Springtime post-prandial...

Our first post-lockdown excursion, and our first restaurant meal since 31 October 2020. We lunched by the sea, at Markopoulos, near Oropos, about an hour away from our home in Athens.

Updated May 23: A storm blew through on Tuesday leaving a trail of devastation across the state of Iowa. We were fortunate with only rain and high winds. My Irises took a beating, lost some, trampled down a few that I cut and brought inside, closed up a few but opened a few more! I find beauty in all the stages that a flower takes from bud, to flower, back to bud, to dying. Behold life and death in a cycle thru Mother Nature. Taken in the middle of the Tiergarten beside Siegessäule the Berlin Victory Column this has always been a busy area for leisure on a summer weekend long before The Berlin Wall opened up this whole area for sightseeing. A not very old BVG MAN 3252 of 1983 nears the end of it's 37 min journey from Eichkamp to Grunewald and the Reichstag.

Springtime tree flowering in the back garden.

I think this may the same tree that appears on streets and in parks around the town:

“Ornamental Pear” or “Callery Pear”, it’s scientific name is Pyrus calleryana.

A dreamy morning filled with fresh cherry blossoms.

This was taken at the University of Washington campus. Every year, the cherry blossoms bloom beautifully for about a month.

It's funny because the last few years, I've been "too busy" to go outside and take photos at my own school! Sad excuses. I finally had time this year, so I went during spring break. I actually went back several times, trying to scout out the best locations. I woke up around 5:30AM for this shot, hoping to catch the sunrise. Unfortunately, it was dreary and rainy when I got to the campus. No sunrise for me ... Luckily, the sun decided to peek out for a few minutes later that morning, adding a momentary warmth and softness to the otherwise lackluster morning. I managed to squeeze in some shots before the sun left for good. The cherry blossoms fitted in perfectly with the temporary tranquility that came with the sun.

Sunday 9th July nearing the start of the Start Bay race

Crassula 'Springtime' forms pagoda-like stems with alternating fuzzy emerald-green pointed triangular leaves. Flowers appear in profusion and are pale pink with a deep pink center. Porous soil with adequate drainage. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Protect from frost to prevent scarring.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3

it makes Soph look very pale, which she isn't really but i loved the strong colour of the purple plant (don't ask me what it is) in the background

though she looks bored she was just chilling in the warmth, still in a funny mood but her hormones are still all over the place

ooooh, finally, warm weather and sunshine. Great weather for moving in.
