This beautiful evergreen is a herald of the beginning of spring. Thank you to my Flickr friends for helping me identify this plant that is well-suited for shady gardens. It is apparently drought-tolerant once established, though best in evenly moist soil; it should be watered well during extended dry periods. If seedlings are not desired, remove spent flowers before seed is set.

Jinxie was really wired up yesterday! I guess he's got spring fever! He ran up and down this tree so many times, and bit and clawed at the branches like he was trying to kill it. He's just crazy!

it's been raining in new york. and i like it.

Papa Tian scratches on the ground as he reacts to Mama Mei's presence; he'll end up digging a hole to get to the other side

Sooooooooooon spring will be here I hope! Still some snow left here and there in my yard.

Papa Tian and Mama Mei meet up at the howdy windows (Part 2)

The first Daffy has arrived on a very windy day which forced me to abandon any thought of getting a sharp shot. Moral of the story: when its fuzzy add a vignette. Thanks for the look and have a great evening.

It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! ~ Mark Twain

Another gorgeous spring day, another friend with a (bright and clever) little girl, and boom - photos! Toddlers, as it turns out, are the perfect age to be adorable - and utterly disinterested in being models. This outtake though is one of my faves from this afternoon.

I know photos of bluebells are a bit of a cliche at this time of year, however its hard to ignore them when they are putting on quite a show. Would have preferred a little stronger side lighting but the soft warm light does give the image a nice relaxed feel.

I think I am taking tomorrow off to play - I have a case of "Spring Fever"

Do any of you?

1 - Mama Mei looking for her sweetheart at the howdy window

And Heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,

And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,

I don't have time to maintain these regrets,

When I think about the way...That He loves us.
