Common Spotted Orchid / dactylorhiza fuchsii. Swaddywell Pit, Cambridgeshire. 07/06/22.

'ALMOST.'

An almost pure white Common Spotted Orchid which unfortunately had peaked prime condition. It bore a hint of very pale lilac on some of its uppermost flowers. There were no spots or lines on any of the three-lobed lips.

Spotted Flycatcher Powys Wales UK

I didn’t immediately see this little guy because he was hidden in the middle of a group of Mallards. Also his colouring was much the same as the surrounding stone. They don’t stay still very long and he was wandering all over the place so I was fortunate to get him when he stood still for a moment.

Thank you for visiting my site and taking the time to leave a comment. Truly appreciated!

A Spotted Sandpiper pausing briefly on a rock. Usually it's difficult to get a photo of these shorebirds but he came out as I was resting on a rock. Sometimes it's good to rest.

Always love getting shots of these guys.

Went to the Wetlands again yesterday with good friend and fellow flickr tog Joe Micallef.

I was fortunate to encounter a couple of Spotted Pardalotes foraging among the bark of this tree looking for grubs.

The area was in shade hence the noisy image...... hope you like it anyway!!

Thanks for any comments, views or favorites - always appreciated!

Have a wonderful day and week everyone!
