I positively LOVE the color of my car (Storm Titanium) at sunset, and I had a great time capturing this shot with my wife's help.

Holy Fuck that episode almost had me in tears. I found this "On Andrew Lincoln’s interview on TD-he stated how this episode was the Wizard of Oz. Shane being the courage, Hershel being the heart, and Sasha being the wisdom. :( Also adding on Michonne was the “home”. Shit dude" It just messes with you after this long journey over the years. Ending was kind of a big fuck off, but Otherwise it was such a beautiful episode and the movies are going to be interesting.

Candy man, candy man

Sweet, sugar, candy man

I met him out for dinner on a Friday night

He really got me working up an appetite

He had tattoos up and down his arm

There's nothing more dangerous than a boy with charm

He's a one stop shop, makes the panties drop

He's a sweet talkin' sugar coated candy man

A sweet talkin' sugar coated candy man

He took me to the Spider club on Hollywood and Vine

We drank champagne, and we danced all night

We shook the paparazzi for a big surprise (a big surprise)

The gossip tonight will be tommorow's headlines

He's a one stop shop, makes my cherry pop

He's a sweet talkin' sugar coated candy man (oh yeah)

A sweet talkin' sugar coated candy man

He's a one stop shop, makes my cherry pop

He's a sweet talkin' sugar coated candy man (oh)

A sweet talkin' sugar coated candy man

Well, by now I'm getting all bothered and hot

When he kissed my mouth, he really hit the spot

He had lips like sugar cane, oh

Good things come for boys who wait

Candy man, candy man

(Sippin' from a bottle of vodka double wine)

Candy man, candy man

He's a one stop, gotcha hot, makin' all the panties drop

(Sweet, sugar, candy man)

He's a one stop, got me hot, makin' my (uh) pop

(Sweet, sugar, candy man)

He's a one stop, get it while it's hot, baby, don't stop

(Sweet, sugar)

He got those lips like sugar cane

Good things come for boys who wait

He's a one stop shop with a real big (uh)

He's a sweet talkin' sugar coated candy man

(Say what) a sweet talkin' sugar coated candy man

(Say) a sweet talkin' sugar coated candy man, woo

Those damn grasses! But honestly, he could have landed anywhere on that perch (which was like 7-10 m long) or completely elsewhere; took me completely by surprise; it's a miracle I managed to squeeze a few shots because it almost immediately flew off upon realizing I was sitting there under a tree.

Too tired to write any sort of comprehensive review so here is this:

As of now, I've seen the film twice in cinema. I'm a massive Potterhead so my review will be more biased than Pres-elects views on the Electoral College.

I'm basically just gonna bullet point the strengths and weaknesses of the film.

STRENGTHS:

- Generally amazing visuals

- Great creature design

- Story felt very full and not rushed, which is something that a couple of the Potter films can feel like becasue it is squeezing an entire novel into 2 1/2 hours. This wasn't the case here though, as the plot was written just for a film. Do you get what I'm saying?

- Fresh, interesting, unpredictable sub-plot with Graves and Credence

- Much greater Muggle/No Mag perspectives on the Wizarding World than any other film has shown

- Some pretty decent acting

- Most of the comedy was excellent. I laughed a lot at Jacob Kowalski and the Niffler :D

- Ties quite nicely into Potter and the next 4 movies! Fingers-Crossed for the Wizarding War, Young Dumbledore and stuff like that!

WEAKNESSES:

- Occasionally dodgy CGI

- Somewhat predictable main plot. They just sorta walked around and happened to stumble upon the beasts they were looking for.

- Some pretty meh acting

- Ew Johnny Depp ew. Very bad casting

OVERALL:

Very much love the film, it ranks about 5th on my Potter films list, just above Order of the Phoenix but much below Goblet of Fire. I'd give it about an 8/10 using this rating system

- Acting 7/10

- Script 7/10

- Soundtrack/Score 9/10

- Directing 8/10

- Visuals/Aesthetic 9/10

Overall: 40/50

Here is another capture to add to my "Life on Middle River" series. This capture was taken near sunset with lots of boat traffic on the river ... including this monster of a boat that I think raised the river level an inch as it traveled by.

Well, well, well... what a sunset this evening. Just a shame that Mount Fuji was hiding behind a band of cloud which, over the course of the 30mins I was on the roof of our flat, didnt move hardly at all. Anyway, this evening's sunset was hardly spoiled by it. Far from it in fact. I never tire of standing on our roof watching the view. The winter days when the air is clear here in Tokyo and you get sunsets like this, who could possibly tire of such a scene?

The perfect end to a pretty cool day, on which I got to meet one of my heroes; animated film director, Hayao Miyazaki.

Spoilers. I just wanna make that clear. SPOILERS. Though I am gonna try and contain myself.

I don't usually do reviews, but c'mon, it's Squad. It'd be weird if I didn't.

I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed the hell outta this movie (pun intended? Up to you). It's not as well-paced as Assault on Arkham, but I'd argue it's just as good for different reasons. And also similar reasons. Also good lord does it earn its R. This is the bloodiest violent movie I've seen in a while. Also you see Knockout's nips. For like three frames. Yep. Yet despite all this they still don't say Fuck, which frankly, is a missed opportunity imo.

Also it is indeed canon in the weird pseudo-New-52-animated-universe, but it weaves itself in there in such an awesome, unexpected and interesting way that I'm letting it slide. There's a sorta-twist that I honestly did not see coming. You can also tell because the Blockbuster that appeared in . . . Judas Contract? Bad Blood? Also appears in this. Anyways, lets talk some pros and cons, cause its easier to read.

Pros:

-Christian Slater as Deadshot. I wasn't 100% sold on him in Justice League Action, but dammit, I am now. This is probably the best Deadshot outside of the comics out there, besides smarmy DCAU Deadshot. Though he doesn't smoke enough.

-Tiger actually gets characterization. However the con to this is he's essentially Michael Lane's Azrael: Hyper-religious, holier-than-thou, and very angry. Not the Turner I know and love but it's more character that he's gotten in years so I'll take it.

-They actually explain Waller's weight loss, and it's actually related to a major plot point.

-The main plot is based on one of my favorite Secret Six arcs, which was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

-The cold open has Floyd, Vertigo, Manta, and Punch and Jewelee fight Tobias Whale, who's working for Black Mask. Let that sink in.

-James Urbaniak as Pyg, and C. Thomas Howell as Zoom.

-Harvey's' cameo

-Ten-Eyed-Man gets named dropped, though he's apparently dead, poor sod.

-Scandal and Knockout are very much a couple, and I am very in support of that. And Scandal does end up turning against her father, as I hoped she would.

-The Frost in this one Is Crystal Frost, as opposed to Lincoln or Snow, which is kinda neat. Get some variety in our Frosts. And you feel less bad when the inevitable happens.

-Vandal isn't in it much, and when he does show up, he does not stick around.

-There's a scene in a male strip club.

-Slade cameo!

Alright enough of that, let's get to my few cons:

-HARLEY. Bloody hell, Harley. She offers nothing and does nothing. Says nothing useful, and most of her lines could go to Boomerang. Waller even mentions that she's only utilizing Harley cause she's desperate, and is audibly disappointed that Harley survives. A sympathy I share. Her voice is especially grating in this one, I don't know who's telling Tara Strong to be awful but they need to stop.

-Speaking of which some of the acting sounds a little listless or wooden, but on some of the characters, like this version of Waller, it fits.

-Pyg outlives his usefulness, poor deranged guy.

-Nobody on the Squad save for the Big Three survive, though we all knew that was gonna happen. Tiger goes out in a fitting way though, so I'm not as mad about that as I'd thought I'd be. Essentially he gets a warrior's death, and isn't just cannon fodder.

-Copperhead, though absolutely badass and with a really unexpected, but cool voice, is severely underutilized and under-characterized, but again, not a surprise.

-The pacing is much slower, but I think that's alright, it kinda fits this one better than the breakneck pace of AoA would.

-Pretty much everyone in the intro suddenly gets wildly out of character and dies. So that was weird. They dying was expected, Jewelee betraying Punch and shacking up with Vertigo? not so much.

-Manta is basically a cameo and we never see/hear about him again. I'm guessing cause of that Shark in that Aquaman movie I never saw.

Anyways, as the resident Squad expert (more like Squad-obsessionist bordering on dangerous habit . . .ist) I give it like, 9.5 out of ten. The only thing really, really weighing it down is Harley. AoA is still a little better, overall but honestly, not by much. And hey, they're both worlds better than the 2016 movie. I had a blast. That wasn't too spoilery now, was it?

Spoil heaps (not quite as far as the eye can see but certainly covering a huge area) on the hillside above Blaenavon in south Wales. Part of the area's UNESCO World Heritage industrial landscape.

Alta Via 1 is one of the classic high routes in the Dolomites 🇮🇹, a 150-kilometre-long trail which runs through the eastern Dolomites in Italy and passes through some of the finest scenery in the area.

The path runs south from Pragser Wildsee (Lago di Braies) towards Belluno.

-----

In the pandemic-spoiled year of 2020, Dolomites at the end of the hiking season seemed to be a reasonable choice for us given its proximity to our homeland, and with empty trails and uncrowded huts to be almost guaranteed. Indeed, there weren’t many folks hiking up there in the mountains at the edge of autumn.

We had to pursue south-to-north routing of the trail to be able to secure overnight stays in huts since most of them were closing end of Sep / early Oct, the more to the south the sooner.

Our week-long itinerary was as follows: Belluno - Rifugio Pian de Fontana - Rifugio San Sebastiano - Rifugio Passo Staulanza - Rifugio Croda da Lago - Rifugio Lagazuòi - Senneshütte - Pragser Wildsee.
