Meet my new baby, SPLINTER!

Digital StillCamera

Coopersville - Marne Railway

Playing with my bellows unit with SMC Takumar 1:2/55 lens, 1/60 @ f4, effective magnification ~ 15x

Note added Sept 14/07: This was taken with my Pentax K10D - I forgot to factor in the magnification factor for the digital camera when I posted the pic. With the 1.5 factor, it comes out to closer to 21x effective magnification

is this my ummah?

Photographed at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve near Maleny in Queensland, Australia. A remnant of the lush rainforest once covering the plateau.

Lexar Firefly 8Gb USB flash drive, and the pieces that broke off it. Hubby's did the same thing. In search of super-glue and a tougher thumb drive.

Not my full costume, at this point I couldn't find my facemask.

it wasn't much of a picture taking weekend.... aside from this.

a weak split in this tree gave way and smashed a car... the sounds was like an earthquake - within 5 hours the branch was cleared and the the rest of the tree cut down and tunred into a pile of chips... as if it had never happend. very exciting stuff!

Strobist: Natural light back left coming in as rim light WL x1600 from front camera right w/ 19" beauty dish.
