it wasn't much of a picture taking weekend.... aside from this.

 

a weak split in this tree gave way and smashed a car... the sounds was like an earthquake - within 5 hours the branch was cleared and the the rest of the tree cut down and tunred into a pile of chips... as if it had never happend. very exciting stuff!

This is a snapped off tree we passed while out walking one day, Hazel I think, I love the textures, looks strong yet soft.
