Someone said it looked like I was being waited on by my servants.
And Gordon just wanted to amputate.
Camille got a big ol' splinter. She needed an extra set of hands to use the tweezers to get it out of her thumb. Mike helped out.

St. Olaf wind turbine. Four exposures layered on top of each other with successively smaller crops centered on the turbine's center, resulting in the appearance of broken blades.
The United States has a military presence in two-thirds of countries around the world, and some of them have had enough. A group of terrorists calling themselves The Engineers initiate a terror ultimatum called the Blacklist - a deadly countdown of escalating attacks on U.S. interests.

I went to Zgerdhesh, where the remnants of a 6th century B.C. city can be found. Scholars think it may be Albanopolis, the city that gave Albania it's name. It was destroyed in the 4th century by a massive earthquake. Very little remains except city walls. However, after having walked the city walls for four or so hours, I came across this jolly group of herb harvesters when photographing some of the bunker complexes left over by the communist regime. It started raining, so we took shelter together in the bunker that smelled the least. Shefqet, Fatmir, Sevren(?), Bukuria, and the last person (who's name I've forgotten!) offered me part of their lunch. (I declined). Shefqet built a fire, and we sat around jawing while I took photos and answered questions about America. Fatmir had a rather nasty splinter, which we couldn't get out. I ran to the vehicle for my first aid kit, and after putting some ointment and a band-aide on his finger, the rest proceeded to line up for "medical" treatment. A truly Albanian experience. The rain passed, and they went off into the hills to gather a medical herb, and I came back to Tirana.
