My colleague Eliot dropped his iPhone while cycling. Amazingly, the touch screen was still fully functional although the glass splinters resulted in a different feel when operating the phone.

Cover to the second issue of the "Super Turtles" manga, published by Dengeki Comics. Shredder's super-mutant form is featured on the back cover. The book credits story and art to Tetsuro Kawabe. The credits page dates this publication to September 15, 1995.
This issue appears to be a backstory to the TMNT anime episodes produced in the mid-90s. The Turtles learn how to the use the powerful "Muta Stones" which transform them into Power Ranger-ish forms of their formers selves in order to save Master Splinter from a deadly virus.
The twist???... This battle gets fought INSIDE Master Splinter. Wacky!

The city’s oldest tea room sheds its dated feel and now a gleaming mix of traditional glitz and glamour with modern classic appeal. The seasonally updated King’s Tea can be experienced in the marble lined lobby, elegant Victoria’s Restaurant, or in majestic Sovereign Ballroom (holidays only).
The crowd: Clean shaven afternoon tea practitioners, lunching ladies, and the room most likely to spot or sport a fascinator.
Savouries: Hot and cold canapés rooted in traditional flavours but with a twist. Think croque-monsieur-influenced welsh rarebit with caramelized onion, ale chutney and buttery brioche, and finger sandwiches with curried chicken Waldorf with blistered grapes, carrot and celeriac splinters.
Scones: Two types – a rich tea scone that’s short with a flaky crust and a moist, tender crumb; the other is fluffy and tender with cranberries.
Spreads: House made apple pear brown butter, strawberry preserves, and Devonshire cream.
Pastries: Timeless favourites updated in delicate forms and season-conscious flavours, such as an eggless lemon and blood orange posset with gingered clementine, banana coconut cream tartlet with rum flambéed fruit, or dark chocolate and cassis pot de crème.
Tea: Tealeaves (Vancouver) signatures including the custom King Edward Blend (malty and floral combination of Jasmine, Ceylon, Yunnan and rose petals).
Accommodations: Children menu (Jester’s Tea Party, $20); gluten free, vegetarian or special dietary requests honoured with 48-hour notice.
Alternate menu: Commemorative tea menus and blends marking important royal events and dates; themed festive menus benefitting charities.
Come for the: grand lobby feel, buttery scones, and exquisite contemporary tea experience.
Cost: $42; with sherry $49; with Moet and Chandon Brut Imperial $59.
Available: Fri – Sun, 2:30 PM - 5 PM.

The window on this little cabin on the floating dock had long since been broken. It still reflected the scene down the Fraser though.
A splinter of wood stuck in the thumb, which has caused an abscess. The wood is made up of fibers, between which there are perpendicular rays that contain tracheids through which the sap circulates. The wood had fungus inside it, brown in color, which can be seen in the photo above right.

Talk about staying in character. This guy was really doing it up and was slinking about in the shadows, hiding where he could and really keeping in character.
