Albion 550 SPL owned by John Rodgers a collector of classic and vintage vehicles. This truck was built in 1936 by Albion Motors in Scotland and is powered by an 85 hp,Gardner 5LW, diesel engine. First operator was Barretts of Wood Green London. Sold to Henry Thurston of Northampton, then unknown till 1978. 1978 bought by E.M. Rodgers Transport, who restored the truck to its current condition. Displayed in the company livery. Seen here at the Commercial Vehicle Show, NEC Birmingham 2017.

4" narrow beam going in the front and full SA conversion at the rear including recon gearbox. The engine is a stock 1600 twin port that will have a thorough service and have decided to had some 34 ICT carbs and new ceramic exhaust to add a few more ponies to get me up the hills (obviously not in were I live, but the west of Ireland where we'll be in 6 weeks time - yippee).
