Bosworth Moosie spindle, Kingwood shaft, purchased in January 09. Weighs 33g/ 1.1 oz. Whorl made of moose antler. (!!!) That's a "nibble" on the edge.
It originally had a purpleheart shaft, but my (BAD BAD) bernese mtn dog got ahold of it, chewed it up, and luckily (BEAUTIFUL WONDERFUL) Sheila B came to the rescue and replaced it.
Spindles are now carefully guarded.
I made two scratchstocks to accurately flute the spindles. It is necessary to closely fence the cylindrical spindle so that the cutter doesn't wander. I drilled a 1¼" hole through a scrap piece of pine, then cut it longitudinally in half to produce the hemispherical fence. After which I slit the piece lengthwise to carry the cutter and installed two small machine bolts to tighten it. Since the spindle was tapered, I made another the same, but with an inch and one eighth bore and a slightly smaller cutter blade. Worked from each end and blended as required in the middle by bearing slightly harder on one or the other side of the knife. Being as these are such small columns and with only twelve flutes the work went fast,
SPINDLE CELL TUMOR (Sarcoma lipoma, fibrosarcoma)
Tumours of spindle cell orgin:
Blood vessels
Angioma / angiosarcoma
Spindle cell sarcomas (haemangiopericytoma, fibrosarcoma, schwanoma)
Apidpose tissue
Lipoma / liposarcoma (vaccine unduced on cats)
fibrolipoma
inflitrative lipoma
fibroma
Spindle Cell Tumor and other cancer types could therefore be seen as an end result of a systematic and prolonged assault on blood and the immune system which may never have appeared without late 20th century domestication practices.
For example SARCOMA LIPOMA is vaccine induced. And tumour will grow on the vaccination site of the shoulders. Because this aggressive and fatal cancer growth is vaccine induced, some Vets will give the vaccination at the hindquarters lower to the leg. So when the tumour appears, they can apputate the leg. This to Holistic practitioners is not a positive solution for your cats wellbeing.Prevent this from happening, and use the safe (non toxic) homeopathic oral nosodes of the virus for kittens and adult cats.
Our Cancer Support treatments can be used in conjunction with other alternative medicines also, or with orthodox medical treatments including radio and chemo therapy. The important distinction between any type of Holistic therapies using Homeopathic and herbal treatment and orthodox medicine is that the natural supportive medicines are aiming to reverse the underlying processes which allowed the cancer to develop in the first place, aid detox and repair of all organs.
This is distinct from the aim of removal through surgery, or otherwise destroying cancerous cells with strong toxins that poisons the cells directly and also damaging other healthy organs and general well being.
All natural remedies can be used in conjunction with other alternative medicines also, or with orthodox medical treatments including radio and chemo therapy.
But not normally recommended for our point of view in that we are trying to repair and detox already damaged organs from over polluted system.

The Atzei Chayim
(Hebrew, pl., trees of life; sing., aitz chayim)
The atzei chayim are the two wooden shafts attached to either end of the Torah scroll, around which it is rolled. Each shaft is made long enough to extend beyond the top and bottom of the scroll, and is used as a handle with which to hold the Torah and to scroll from portion to portion.

I wove a 2x6” bookmark on the Weavette loom, following the instructions in Modular Textures: Patterns for the Weavette & Weave-It Looms Volume 1 by Licia Conforti. Woven in plain weave.
I used Ashland Bay Sandalwood Merino roving, spun on a homemade drop spindle, for the bookmark in the foreground. The purple/blue/pink bookmark in-progress is corriedale/merino "vintage" dye.
