After Lyttelton on a day trip around the city with a Flickr friend we went to Swan Lake before having lunch. May 9, 2015 Christchurch New Zealand.
Out with my daughter, we enjoyed a movie together, time behind the camera and then......wait for it.......yes, CHEESE CAKE! We set this up together, it was her idea and position. She clicked the shutter so this is hers and all hers. She even named it.
The job may be tough and the world unkind, but time with my daughter sure helps me unwind.
The fast-approaching DMU train, led by a Cravens Class 105 2-car unit is on the fast lines coming out of Hull Paragon and will run through Hessle station without stopping. The leading car has a small yellow warning panel, as did the first units repainted into Rail Blue in 1967. This style was quickly superseded by yellow panels that covered the entire front cab area.
Just two tracks now cover this section of the line, and the imposing semaphore signals are long gone. The busy Clive Sullivan Way of the A63 has replaced the fields at the right.

A loaded Hibtac charges south under the former Missabe bridge at Alborn headed for Allouez Yard in Superior on Mar. 25, 2012. While not shot as frequently as CN ore trains, the BNSF ore trains have always been appealing to me.

Firstly apologies for the excessive motion blur, I was caught with my proverbial pants down. Being a lover of V8 Seddons ... and hoping this was one, I hastily lifted the camera and released the shutter without any time to check settings. The coach was bowing along as it entered central Guildford near to the railway station. Apparently CLK 100H was owned by local operator Newtons ... though the side glass seems to say Hardy's or something like that. Seddon coaches of this era always looked more impressive IMHO than most others owing to their slightly higher build, but the narrow track back axle always looked a touch odd. When Perkins V8 powered, the certainly sounded impressive.
According to BLOTW, the Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied coach had been new to the delightfully named Hanworth Acorn of Bedfont ... where ever that might be.
A GWR HST passes through Tockenham Wick with 1A16 0741 Penzance to London Paddington on 28th October 2015.
The over-engineered OLE didn't make an appearance on this stretch until a couple of years later. Of course the HSTs are long gone, replaced by the Hitachi 800s and their awful ride quality.
