.

perfect day for watching the shadows of the clouds passing over the mountains

Walking back from the mailbox last night. Awesome sun!

I don't even know what it is...Thunder Bay, Ontario

I'm standing here waiting for you to come

In the sky some kind of strange sky phenomenon

Feel strange to have you as a friend

But I'd rather be your friend

Then to never see you again

I'd rather be your friend

WTF

It is a mock Indian "custom" motorcycle. Looks like some weedy Honda engine to me - not that I'm an expert on weedy Hondas.

Yours for only £16.95

I'd have thought it was £1.695 but they abolished the halfpenny some years ago.

Erm.....sorry.... what was that?? Its actually £1695???

The hand painted matt black frame tubes and the hand painted side panels were a joy to behold....not.

Why bother rubbing down the rust when you can just paint over it?

Seriously, who is in the market for this kind of thing?

Owen "OJ" Jones calls me and says "Christina I want to shoot you." Thank God I know Owen well or I'd be concerned. In front of the camera I go!

More on and from Owen from his Flickr and other accounts:

Hi All,

Well, I wanted to be Tommy Tune who is really Thomas James "Tommy" Tune growing up. Tommy is an American actor, dancer, singer, theatre director, producer, and choreographer. Tommy and I are from the same place in Texas. He was my hero and early on in my life I figured out I was probably a girl captured in a man's body. I enjoyed dressing in my older sister's clothes. This was a horror for my father and older brother's who all played football at the local high school. I knew football well. I knew the Dallas Cowboys playbook but unless I could wear a garter belt and cuban heel stockings like the one's I saw in the magazines I simply was not interested.

One day something bad happened that would torture me for years to come. It was Halloween and the football team had won a big game. As was customary the school had a bon fire and everyone dressed in costumes. I dressed as a 50's vamp and I looked like a tall pin up in high heels that made me look even taller. Kids were drinking before they came to the function and I guess I happen to catch the eye of one of the star football players who was the very best athlete in town. One thing led to the next and we found ourselves embraced in my mom's car outside of town. I won't go into detail but it got hot and heavy and the next thing I know people were rocking the car as they believed Mister Wonderful was scoring a hot chick. When the main event began to unravel and people realized it was he and I, the fingers began to be pointed. I was smacked hard by some of the people and worse. Days later the school officials were involved and I was accused of using a date rape type of drug on Mister Wonderful. I mean who wants to give a full ride to an athlete you can't trust in the shower room at university?

A deal was made by my father for me to transfer schools so to avoid an investigation. I quit school. I was a decent photographer and I would make my way on my talent. I left Texas and headed to a more liberal NYC. Deeper than the beating I had taken at my father's hand was the emotional scars that I was not a man nor did I want to be.

NYC did not work out for various reasons. Sex was easy but work was scarce and love was more scarce. I finished night school and then community college for public relations. One day a friend of mine said to grab my camera and lets go to London. I had never been out of the U.S.A. and this was something. He had a companion ticket and I was his companion for five days hitting the bar scene and seeing the sights.

London did it for me. At the end of five days I was staying and I told my friend just that. I had no work visa but how hard could that be? Answer : very hard and near impossible for a Yank! I was into the punk scene and I knew the music. BDS&M had become a topic of discussion and the club scene was fired up. I supported myself by taking pictures at clubs and selling them to the local small newspapers. Celebrities were hot but there was something hotter. The movers and shakers of London. The people that made the world turn. People that when they walked into a room or into a club everyone noticed. Time stopped and then it began again. Johnnie did this and she was the best there ever was at it. I was paid extra for her pictures as the club owners would arrange for me to be there when she came in and of course I had to mention she was at the club partying all night which wasn't always the case.

Johnnie had bought her name form the real Johnnie Bahama. A guy who was dying of throat cancer from smoking two packs a day. He made t-shirts for rockers and in the end he wanted to visit his son whom he had never seen in New Zealand. Johnnie made this possible. She flew him first class to and from New Zealand and stuffed his pockets with cash. Rumor is he never used the return ticked and he died with his son and his son's family.

Johnnie was none other than Christina Saint Marche. She was a successful business woman who wanted more out of life than to live her life. Johnnie Bahama became her alter ego as she kept her main business separate from the Soho location of JB. In the clubs people only knew her as Johnnie not Christina. Johnnie was my meal ticket and I road her like a straight man at a pussy party. I was like my uncle's bloodhound tracking her every club move. She had the rags or newspapers that serviced the clubs attention. Her pictures are what every paper wanted. She dressed the part, diamonds, skin, more diamonds, high heels, skin and class. Every boy toy wanted her. Every man wanted to be with her. She was IT! She had her own vineyard in France that actually dyed the Champagne pink which makes it unsalable under French rules so what does Johnnie do? She pulls a Smokey and the Bandit and commissions two tractor trailers to deliver Champagne to the clubs in London so to be held exclusively for her as stock which was never sold to the public. You drank with Johnnie, you drank pink Champagne. Johnnie Bahama Limited was ripping up Soho and the club scene with its creations and Johnnie was becoming more and more known as Christina.

The party came to an end one day as Christina called a press conference. I was there. It was painful because Johnnie Bahama Limited was going to be shelved. The space would be turned over to all the workers along with pay checks for a full year so that they could come up with their own brands and build from what they had learned. Christina faced the media and at times I thought she would be speechless but she told her side of the story. She simply wanted to create something without being held to the standards of Christina Saint Marche Limited. Johnnie was over for her and it was time to go back full time to Christina.

I must have taken 150 shots of Johnnie that day and a few days later I made an appointment to see her. I brought her a gift of a selection of the pictures framed by a friend of mine. Johnnie received me at her offices which reminded me of someone's mansion with staircases and beautiful paintings. It was a building on Piccadilly she owned and had taken the top two floors for her operations and private salon. We spoke for a few moments before I blurted out that I was technically out of business because of her and I would be returning to the states. No Johnnie, no work visa and rent due in a few weeks. Without skipping a beat she turned and stated to give one of her girls my information. Somehow, someway within a few days I was filling out paperwork for a work visa and was soon to be an employee in Christina's world. She never said why she hired me but only that I looked like I could use a friend and that she wasn't my friend but to pick one of the girls in the outer offices and they could be my friend. She'd instruct the chosen one to simply do it. Tough as they come and very smart with numbers. That was Johnnie.

Over time her heart softened towards me. I expressed my passion for men and all things womanly. On occasions I would have dates and some of the office girls would go to Christina and ask if they could sign out a fur coat or outfit for me to wear from the vault. I remember once seeing Christina in a restaurant as I was with an older gentleman. I was in full drag and she did a double take. I could see a half smile but like Meryl Streep's character Miranda in the movie the Devil Wears Prada, Christina was cool as they come. She never acknowledged me at the restaurant. The very next day she called me into her salon and asked what is your name? I said Owen. She responded No, what is your female name as I assumed that was you in one of my £38,000 coats last evening at the restaurant. At a minimum I should have a chance to ask how you like the coat in front of your gentleman friend. You know, as if you had just purchased it and were a client? I gave her my street name as Vivien. Well Vivien, next time you have a date lets have one of my cosmetic girls fix you up a bit. Nothing too over the top but some extra help and oh by the way, lets not play Hollywood and have sex in the coat at some hotel or worse the back of a car. I still wear coats out of the wardrobe locker and well, you know. I blushed then I saw the devilish corner smile from her mouth and I knew we were cool.

In 2009 I fell in love with an older man from Amsterdam and today I live with him often as a female. It was difficult to leave Christina. She turned my life around and I like to think that I did a good job for her as well. She never sad goodbye to me. She did as she always does, kisses on the cheeks and she says enjoy your holiday, see you when you return.

I see what people have written on her Flickr account and other social media accounts. I am not sure anyone realizes its Christina that actually takes time out of her life and answers everyone. She connects on so many different levels with people but most of all, she connects. She's a tough business woman but she truly loves people. I wanted to share my photography and my public relations work with those who would be interested in seeing the business person named Christina Saint Marche. As I become more accustom with this media I will begin to tell my story as well. I still live in shame for my name but as Christina once told me, Owen I taught Linda Lovelace everything she knew about sex so please don't waste my time telling me you're a woman cause you enjoy sex with men. Stop worrying about labels and what people think. Just be happy and everything else will be just fine. I promise you that. Never doubt my word Owen. She then added "Linda Lovelace, please, the woman was a bore and ultimately a horrible student!" That was Christina. A person who lives life like no other can.

All pictures here are held in joint ownership with Ms. Saint Marche or are my own copyright work. I have maintained rights in the photographs of Ms. Saint Marche as I was involved with her company for several years as a Print Media Relations Liaison. Prior to that relationship I was an independent photographer for European based magazines and small newspapers which focused on entertainment and celebrities.

Ibn Battuta once said, "Travelling - it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller." And such beautiful landscapes are the reason one is left speechless and with so many untold stories.

I photographed this while driving from Leh to Manali during our #Ladakh trip. We had just driven across the most amazing 40kms. of my life, through More Plains and then THIS view stunned us. That is the SumKhel Lungpa river visible right at the bottom there. And this view, you just do NOT want to miss, trust me.

A "Trump is the second coming" booth opened at the local antiques mall. It attracts an unusual crowd of true believers. I am curious about the sign that solicits donations.

Oh Boy You’ve Left me Speechless

Editless

a lot has changed since i ever found this site, and even more in the span of the past two years.

i'm confused and searching like i did when i came here and i'm not going to turn away from that.

not like i have a choice in the matter but it's the attitude i bring with the change that i have control of.

its true i've become more protective with what i share, the personal information/updates, and for that i want to be sorry but know i shouldn't and can't.

everything comes cheap nowadays and i hate that, so i fold myself over and keep what i've got.

if i were to consolidate what i've learned so far, well, as in since i last thought about it, know everything happens for a reason.

i am pushing through things far too fast and for what: a check mark and a satisfactory nod.

if i had all the time in the world i would thank everyone who has touched me, but i don't but i'm still trying but i'll make an effort. nike was right when they said just do it.

someone told me i looked like i had aged 20+ years in the past year and it's been echoing, bouncing around in my head ever since as i try to bend it into a positive light.
