This morning/days' fog was surreal, it came and went down here so fast. Two frames before this there was no Rainier and I didn't see the moon at all until I put the camera away to hump up to Summerland. Not only have I never seen these peaks, the freakin' moon just appeared from nowhere above the mountain. I can't say that I ran up the last leg, but I made my top speed and just prayed that the moon wouldn't beat me in the race to get above the treeline...

It has been since March of 2015 since I have seen a BNSF SD40-2 leading a main line train (not a local). Well, BNSF delivered today with a freshly rebuilt and repainted 40 leading this Dilworth to Northtown train on a rare sunny, but -8 winter morning. The train is approaching the Armstrong Blvd. overpass in Ramsey, MN.
some cars are beyond words, you just look at them in awe , every detail screams automotive excellence

I can't think of a title that does this pelican justice. They way that they gracefully move across the water, sometimes so close the wing tips touch is simply amazing. They fly with no effort and are simply amazing.
What do you think, what would be a better title. I am open to suggestions.

The title reflects how I feel every time I walk through the Valley of Dreams. The temps were topping low 100s on this trip in New Mexico, which made shooting at sunset rather pleasant. Every day at 7 pm, a mini-haboob would come that forced me to wear a respirator to prevent biting the dust.

I got up in the night and drove to the east of the island. Parked the car and followed an unofficial small path high above the coastline. Had no exact idea, if I was right. So I waited for the day to come, but what I found, left me just speechless....
