Second choice for "Our Daily Challenge ....o ne thing I would keep"
I have a "love-hate" relationship with my glasses but I could not manage very well without them so I am going very practical with this one and nominate them as my must keep possession. Without them I lose my sight and consequently many of the things I most enjoy in life.
As I was leaving a small, remote cemetery, I spotted these reading glasses which had been carefully placed on the edge of a large old stump. Somewhere there is woman searching her pockets and coming up empty.
www.
My shiny new glasses. At least one of the two pairs I bought the other day. My eyesight has apparently got better in the past two years, so I only need them when I'm tired or when I have to look at small details from a long distance during presentations at meetings or at the cinema. Natural light from the window with white balance set for tungsten light. :)
In PP only curves adjustments.
At the rear of the church I had to choose between distance specs enabling me to admire the performers or reading specs allowing me to see what I was doing. I opted for the former. Having written 'Shostakovich' however, I had to stop sketching, the music was so moving.

Swainson's Thrush
Catharus ustulatus
This secretive species is a lot easier to hear than to actually see but there were a bunch of them around at Garret Mountain in May. This was the best shot I was able to get, showing off the trademark specs.
