Le farfalle in libertà - Les Papillons en liberté - Butterflies...Go free !

AAW October 5 - 12: Selective Focus
WIT: Held the glasses with one hand, took the picture with the other. Hard to get the focus right, especially with one hand, lol! In post, slightly desaturated the blurred background, and cropped.

Sand Grasshopper
Sandschrecke
Steppegræshoppe
Saltamonte jaspeado
The Sand Grasshoppers come along in many different patterns and shades of gray and brown, but they always seem to find a patch of ground where they are perfectly camouflaged when they sit still.

Photographed in the rain yesterday. A Cortinarius, but which one exactly is a mystery to me, as is usually the case.
Stack with 33 single shots.

It always takes some effort to photograph the small slime molds. Sometimes you are tempted to let it go. But if a picture succeeds to some extent, one is glad to have tried it.
In addition to the macro lens, two extension tubes and the Raynox 250 close-up lens were also used here.
There are around 40 different species of Lachnellula. These were on the ground on a spruce branch. Size in the range of 1mm.
Macro lens and extension tubes and/or Raynox 250.

Perhabs they are a kind of stropharia. Location with sawdust and wood waste would be correct.

Around 750 worldwide species of ectomycorrhizal mushrooms compose the genus Russula. So it's no wonder that I can't determine this.
Made during the mushroom photo week in October in the Black Forest.
Stack of 31 individual images.
The Greengrocer (Cyclochila australasiae), is among the loudest Cicadas.
Large species, such as the Common Greengrocer (Cyclochila australasiae), can produce a noise in excess of 120 decibels at close range. When you are in the bush, with hundreds of Cicadas singing, their sound can become deafening !/
They were very small, around 2mm. Grown in the same location as the dark red one in the previous photo.
Stack with 28 frames.
At the bee hotel...
This fast gold wasp that could only stay still for a second. This is the best photo of several out of focus... :-)
There are over 100 different small cups on branches and stems. Determination without a microscope is not possible. These are from the mushroom photo week in the Black Forest in October.
