After an incident involving the first research vehicle, I've downsized.
This is a camera mounted on an RC car to give me an idea for what the sensors will see - angles, vibration, etc. It's totally radio-controlled now, no smarts at all.
The camera is mounted with shapelock ... the instructions say not to adhere it to plastic, and they are right - it was a bear to get off of the camera! It held its shape very well, though. Maybe I should have used some PVA mold release?
This is a simple to use, RS232 to serial base unit for the XBee line. This unit works with all XBee modules including the Series 1 and Series 2.5, standard and Pro version. Plug the unit into the XBee Explorer, attach a RS232 cable, and you will have direct access to the serial and programming pins on the XBee unit. The board also supports DTR communication so you can reprogram and configure the XBee unit.
