Taken at the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, KS. The Cosmosphere is about the only reason for most people to visit this neck of the woods. Pretty impressive place for Nasa fans. They even have the original Apollo 13 capsule.

Bonus shot for week 9 of the 52 Weeks of Lego project.
Space Shuttle Discovery is currently on its final mission, delivering equipment to the International Space Station. I had planned to save this shot for the week of the final shuttle mission ever, but all the remaining missions I could find on NASA's website coincide with weeks of important events in my personal life that I would rather showcase, so here it is this week. I missed the launch by a few days, but the mission is still on, so it's still a current event.

Space Shuttle Columbia STS-1
K'NEX
This wall mural is made up of thousands of plastic K'NEX construction toy pieces. The mural is a reconstruction of artist Robert McCall's 1981 painting depicting the landing of Space Shuttle Columbia. Columbia is returning from STS-1, the first space shuttle mission. During the flight Mission Commander John Young and Pilot Robert Crippen spent over 54 hours in space testing the new space shuttle design.
Robert McCall (1919-2010) was a world famous space artist. Commissioned by NASA McCall documented through art many space and aviation milestones. His artwork was seen on many US postal stamps and NASA flight patches, including STS-1. McCall also did promotional and production artwork for various movies including Star Trek: The Motion Picture, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Tora! Tora! Tora! His artwork and murals can be seen at the National Air and Space Museum and various NASA facilities. The Robert McCall Collection of over 200 paintings, drawings, and sketchbooks is permanently housed at the University of Arizona Museum of Art.
Sometimes in order to get the shot you want, you have to get a little dirty.
That’s exactly what I did here in Inglewood, CA when the Space Shuttle Endeavour was making its final journey to its permanent home at the California Science Center. My son, a fan of all things space, brought along his die-cast shuttle to the event and as we were leaving, I thought it would be interesting to have the two of them in the same shot and as close to the same proportions as possible.
I had him place his toy on the ground while I laid flat on my stomach in The Forum’s parking lot with the camera firmly on the ground.
The result is this shot, something we will never see again.
Skylynx also called Magnificence is a unbelievably talented, unsurpassably skilled autobot,
transforming from spaceshuttle to a dragon/dinosaur and the cargobay carried into a lynx cat
powered up with legoboost the beast walks in both dinosaur and lynx mode.
Legotransformers became a real study over the years or more decades now and i am suprised these kind of designs are possible these days after dreaming of models like this as a kid.
Big hug to Kevin, Skywalter for the dark azure part supplies ;)
