Is that a comet or a spaceship? 30sec exposure of Comet McNaught which meant the globe had revolved a little distorting the comet and its tail.
The spaceship during it´s first earth-approaching shot,
done stopframe with 75 frames per second.
This three times more frames were later reduced to the third of speed by interpolating them, and this smoother result was then additionally motionblurred digitally, with the right amount of blurring.
The tricky thing about this was to get the right timing into all this because everything was done manually
and frame - by - frame ( cameramovement, cameratrack, 2 modelmover-axes), but some calculations done from time to time helped to get the right thinking for this
unfamiliar animation-feeling by shooting 75 frames instead of the usual 25 frames...
... all a blur this night... I don't remember how I got here or what this place was called... I think it was called Spaceship Front... but it was in Calista and I did recognize DJ Jara Corte's name before I TP'd over.
Color saturated designs with heavy glow in most areas created a blurry splash of color that just zoned me out completely along with DJ Jara's kewl tunes.
This place was inspiring and I went back to work trying to duplicate some of the textures there... very coooool.
Hands down my favorite ride at Epcot, this is Spaceship Earth at night.
