Spaceship Earth at Epcot while it still sported the large lighted Epcot sign and Sorcerer Mickey arm and wand.

Personally, I was never a fan of the wand, thinking that structure on its own is so iconic and elegant that it was a perfect symbol for the more grown-up and optimistic Epcot.

Spaceship Earth lit up for the night.

One of our LUG members is a spaceship expert. And this was his creation from a single box.

The giant ball is home to the ride 'Spaceship Earth' and is the centre of the Epcot park at Walt Disney World, Florida.

a weird under works oval piece

Taken with a homemade pinhole lens, 5 second exposure. And one crazy driver who wouldn't stay still.

Forming in 2009, Spaceship Days took their name from a lyric in a Catherine Wheel song.

After releasing a pair of albums independently ('The Halo Effect' 2009 and 'Black Holes & Butterflies 2010') to wide acclaim, the founding members of the band - Greg Torsone (guitars/production) and Chuck Cox (bass) joined forces with a new vocalist, American Idol / America's Got Talent Finalist Adam Lee Decker, and released 'The Thrill of Freefall' in March 2013.

Spaceship Days returned home, and went right back to work. After a stint playing with one of London's hottest up and coming rock acts Brian Avery (drums) returned to the States, joining the band soon after. The pop-rock outfit's 4rd album, Saving the Universe, recorded at their own Afterglow Studio was released in July 2014

Spaceship Days blends digital guitar effects, full orchestration, timeless piano, acoustic solos, rich vocal harmonies, vivid mental images, and intricate mixing techniques to create songs that have mass appeal.

I took down my Christmas tree today and stored all my ornaments away. This is my collection of Hallmark Spaceship Ornaments. From Star Wars, there's an X-wing Starfighter, and from Star Trek , there's the Enterprise D, Voyager, a shuttlecraft (when you push a button on the bottom, Leonard Nimoy says "Shuttlecraft to Enterprise, Shuttlecraft to Enterprise, Spock here, happy holidays. Live long, and prosper."), Defiant, a Klingon Bird of Prey, and a Romulan War Bird.

Only, the War Bird must have cloaked when I snapped the picture, because I don't see it.

Sadly, I don't have Enterprise. My mom (who gave me all these ornaments as gifts) saw it at a Hallmark preview party the year it was released, but decided she would buy it for me later. It sold out almost immediately, and she never saw one on sale again.
