Spaceship Earth against a white cloudy sky.

I'm trying to figure out who's laughing at whom. Maybe he really has a spaceship? Maybe it really is broken? Maybe all it takes is money for parts, and I'm denying him that? Maybe because of my cynicism I'm going to prevent him from getting back to whatever planet he came from?!

The new fountain with acrylic pylons in the center in front of Spaceship Earth at Walt Disney World's Epcot near Orlando, Florida. The new feature contains new lighting which tie in with the changes coming to Epcot. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the parks can only go to 35% capacity and are empty compared to normal crowds.

for its 25th anniversary, wdw removed all other "ornaments" from epcot's iconic "spaceship earth", what has become the symbol of epcot, and returned it to it's original look when the park opened in 1983.

i was going for the old "kodak instamatic/polaroid" type look of a film/print where time has shifted the chemical and color balance. went with the flickrtoys polaroid frame because it was quick and easy. ^ ^

One of the most recognizable structures in all of Disney's theme parks, Spaceship earth stands 18-stories tall. It houses a time machine-themed ride ushering passengers through advancements in communication from pre-historic times through modern day and beyond. The exterior's geodesic sphere makes an incredible photo-op at nearly any time of day.

Spaceship Earth is the iconic and symbolic structure of Epcot, the second of four theme parks built at the Walt Disney World Resort. One of the most recognizable structures of any theme park, it is also the name of the attraction that is housed within the 18-story geodesic sphere that takes guests on a time machine-themed experience using the Omnimover system. The 15-minute dark ride shows guests how advancements in human communication have helped to create the future one step at a time. Passengers journey back in time to witness the origins of prehistoric man. Passengers then make several stops to witness important breakthroughs in communication throughout history—from the invention of the alphabet to the creation of the printing press to communication via computers. Then, after answering a few questions, Siemens technology allows guests to see what their future will look like.
