The station, designed in Soviet style and originally named Moskevská, was opened in November 1985 as part of the inaugural section of Line B. The station was renamed to Anděl, after the nearby neighborhood.
Walls tidied up in PS… unfortunately, the real station is covered with tons of poor quality graffiti.

The future is late.
The other day I was reading a comic book from the early sixties. The story takes place in the "future" of 1979. The world was full of spaceships, supersonic trains and people with anti-gravity suits. In 1979.
There are many, many sci-fi novels and movies with an excess of enthusiasm in predicting the future. We had been expecting it for a long time, but it seems that not only now, the future has been always delayed.
Humanity longs for the past, but the future just doesn't see us with good eyes, doesn't like us. Although last night, after watching the news, I understand that the future is not in a hurry.
Let's dream then.

Beyond this futuristic-looking hotel lobby ceiling and transparent roof, you can see the building's frontage.
Yesterday I did get the opportunity to visit the roof of the "Delftse Poort". A large building in Rotterdam. This is the new central station seen from above. It was very cool!!
Very fancy entrance to the garage/backyard of a residential building.
Thank you everyone for your visits, faves and comments, they are always appreciated :)
Slowly, the spaceship hangar opens. The rusty hinges screech. Fortunately, no one hears this in the vacuum of infinite space.

ENG: The underground station Altstadt Spandau is a station of the Berlin underground line U7 at the westernmost tip. It was opened on 1 October 1984 as part of the northwest extension of the U7 to Spandau. It is located under the old town of the same name in the Spandau district parallel to the street Am Juliusturm.
Like many underground stations at that time, the station was designed very elaborately and splendidly by Rainer G. Rümmler. In March 2017 it was announced that the underground station - together with six other stations of the northern U7 - would be placed under a preservation order.
It lies at a depth of 14 metres, as the nearby Havel had to be crossed under in the east. Therefore, the caisson construction method was used for the construction of this station. In the direction of Spandau town hall, the shield driving method, which is rare and expensive in Berlin, was used to preserve the historically valuable building fabric in Spandau's old town.
