'Hey Syl, where did we put that experimental hyper drive? I can't find it in storage and its not on the list here either?'
'We put in in that external rocked drive for the space station, remember? To see if it would fit?'
'We did take it out again, right?
'Oh, uh, oops...'

'Resting in the space between flowing and outflowing breaths, I know the great unborn, undying silence - the Beloved on High. In stillness, I experience my thoughts as if they are ephemeral clouds passing by and my feelings are elusive rainbows dissolving into a clear blue sky.' -

My entry for the 12x12 vignette category of the Space Jam contest. I’ve always liked Galaxy Squad, and I bought quite a few used sets from the theme several years ago. As such, I have quite a few minifigures from the theme. I’ve wanted to do a scene like this for a while, with a galaxy squad team invading an alien bug hive, although I always imagined it being a bit larger. The most challenging part was getting all the inverted plates on the ground to stay in place. I used ring pieces to hold the plates on the edges in place, but all the ones in the middle are completely loose. It was also fun figuring out the posing, especially for the bugs, and creating a sense of action. Fitting it all into a 12×12 space was a bit of a challenge, but overall, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
To God be the glory!
