In the future a new earth-like planet - named Ademis - is discovered. A group of people with different skills is sent to Ademis to live there and examine the pre-conditions for a larger colony to be established.

This is an example module showing the what the habitats look like. My aim is to build further example modules to visualize the various functions of the colony.

Rover School is in session...

Today in ExtraTerrestrial Studies class we learned about the Space Alpacas who live on the planet Camelidae. We heard the story of the brave Alpacanaut test pilot, Pinky, and his ill-fated test of the expiremental viper-class craft, the LL-4M4. It was quite an amazing tale! We were hoping to meet Pinky himself, as my teacher said he was scheduled to talk to us, but alas, he did not show up. We did get to see this cool rover, though.

In another example of life imitating art, I can't find Pinky or Violet.)

Thanks for looking. I appreciate feedback!

6644 in space, 2/3

Like the original we've got a sporty little car thing, yellow cargo attachment and a space bike for space racing in space. And other stuff like tools, airtanks and whatnot.

Oh and the white visor is from Brickforge.

ESA’s Couture in Orbit project to look at the future of fashion using space materials and technology will come to a close with a fashion show at London’s Science Museum on 25 May. This image was taken by Annalisa Dominoni during a fashion shoot at the “Immagine” lab with her students at the Design school of the Politecnico di Milano in Italy.

Five leading fashion schools around Europe took part in Couture in Orbit, each assigned a theme, an ESA astronaut and technical and fabric sponsors.

The Milan students looked at astronaut postures and movements while in space to imagine practical fashion of the future that allows for the new gestures and movement adopted by space tourists and astronauts.

AKA Celeste!

Living in a desert, it's always hot, but it makes for great space-y/otherworldly photoshoots. This is my first custom barbie/fashion royalty hybrid! Origionally a Twilight Saga "Rosaline" doll, she was rerooted with acetate hair, which was another first for me, had her face repainted, and has a completely custom outfit that shines with over 400 swarovski crystals. The head was put on a fashion royalty body, since it was the only fully articulated perfect match. Her laser gun is made out of clay and was painted to look otherworldly and deadly. She's the first in a mini collection I'll be doing! 😉

A vehicle for the Space Police inspired by Blade Runner

Continuing to photograph, edit, then take apart old MOCs so I can clear shelf space for newer stuff. This model was an experiment building a small cargo vehicle with an interior. There is a second room behind the cockpit divider which was smaller than I hoped when I started. Large enough for a brick-built bed, but nothing else.

Built in March 2019.

I starting working on some microscale designs for the Space Truckers category for Space Jame 2019 but I wasn't feeling it, so they stalled. I took some photos anyway (like I usually do) for future reference.

Too late for FebRovery but in this crazy world does it still matter? Here's my Space Classic utility robot, ancestor of the Power Loader.

I guess this is supposed to be an emoji. Most of these works of chalk art don't have labels or titles to them. I know it's not a Minion, so this could be an emoji. Anyway, it looks very well rendered. Too bad some shadow got on it.

‘What AI unit would you like for his rover? This one?’

‘No, not the HAL 9000, that more something for a big interplanetary space ship… Get the Cozmo unit, that will do fine for this tiny rover.’

‘Which one is the Cozmo unit?’

‘Those little blue eyes…’

==================

I also bought set 60228, the mission control with a capsule-rocket. That set came with 2 (!) rovers. This little rover came is one of them.

It is more like a robot-conversion kit than a little rover, I think.

The robot unit (head and arms) can probably be equipped with rockets for space work, and with legs for casual walking work when stairs are to be expected.

I like the tiny caster wheels, although I wished there was a way for them to actually roll. And I wish I had seem these earlier (more on that later this month).

This one reminds me a bit like a robo-dog I experimented with 2 years ago (see below).

Space Police at work. ;)

We just watched the movie Ad Astra and it sure made you think about how much Space is out there and how nice it is to be here and grounded.
