Space Time again! This time I've built a monowheel for a contest on www.imperiumdersteine.de
The design for the outer ring came up quickly, it was more difficult to find a solution for the inner part.
I hope you like it!
Met de skyline van Houston op de achtergrond nadert een tramstel met rijtuig 301 op kop de halte Preston-Central Station aan de rand van het stadscentrum. Ondanks dat Houston met meer dan twee miljoen inwoners de grootste stad in Texas is, is het niet de hoofdstad van de staat. De stad heeft wel een prominente rol in het ruimtevaartprogramma van de NASA gespeeld, de bijnaam Space City is dan ook een officieel erkende "nick name".
Sinds het jaar 2004 rijdt er weer een tram in Houston. Het net is in de loop der jaren uitgebreid. Het afgebeelde materieeltype behoort tot de derde generatie trams in Houston. De wagens zijn door de Amerikaanse vestiging van de Spaaase rollend materieelfabrikant CAF gebouwd.

We were in Newport to watch my oldest son run a half marathon this weekend. This morning on the beach, I found a sight I have never seen before...rows and rows of formations from the wind. Some looked just like space ships, others were spinning tops, mushrooms, pottery. It was quite a sight!!! and my son was first in his division! a fun weekend with my son, his wife and my two oldest grandkids. oh and my husband too!

" Space Flower" is the third of a group of outdoor sculptures I created in response to the geo-political situation we find ourselves in. This geometric Cor-ten steel sculpture was inspired by exotic flowers and space craft. It has a "transformer" like appearance and makes me think of spyware and bots.
