Anyone know what type this is? As is it a M40? Also in the inside front it has 2 crossed swords with 53 below it.

There has been a chronic lack of investment in Kiev's public transport since Ukraine gained its independence. The Czech-built Tatra T3 was supplied in its thousands to the COMECON countries and continues to earn its keep.

Back in the Cold War of the late '60s and early '70s, the Soviets would continually harass our Navy ships by unsafe close approaches and cutting them off. There were shot in the Mediterranean.

Images are copies of slides shot with a Lumix S1 and Sigma 90mm macro.

Kiev rangefinders are Soviet copies of the famous Contax rangefinder. At the end of WWII, the Soviets moved the production from Germany to Kiev, Ukraine. Over the years, several modifications were done on the original, but the appearance remained similar (other than, for instance, with the Soviet Leica copies, FED, which changed dramatically after modifications).

My copy has the serial number 7516529, indicating it's build in 1975. It's mounted with a Jupiter 8M 50mm F2 lens with serial number 7539089.
