The Kia Soul is the Korean brand's answer to the Nissan Cube and Toyota's Scion xB - a boxlike tall wagon. Kia may have come closest to funkiness with their vehicle.
I first saw it at the New York Auto Show, and I even got into one, but this is the first time I've seen it in the real world.
It features sport suspension and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.
Soul food is a quintessential American cuisine, with a rich history and an abiding significance to black cultural identity. But with its core celebration of all things fried and smothered, it has also had lasting effects on African Americans’ health, both for better and for worse. Filmmaker Byron Hurt looks at the past and future of soul food—from its roots in Western Africa, to its incarnation in the American South, to its contribution to modern health crises in communities of color. The film also looks at the socioeconomics of the modern American diet, and how the food industry profits from making calories cheap, but healthy options expensive and hard to find. The all powerful Soul Edge from the Dreamcast fighting game Soul Calibur was a design I instantly fell in love with. Soul Calibur is still one of my top ten games of all time, and this is also one of the most striking tattoos I have had done so far. It runs from my elbow to past my wrist on my outside left arm.
This guy is a Little Soul Doll Kimmy. He is a 12-inch Asian ball-jointed doll made out of resin. (I did the faceup and very light body blushing using acrylic paint and I sealed the work with a layer of matte varnish, a layer of Mr. Super Clear, and a layer of Mr. Top Coat.) He can wear Ken’s clothes as long as you sew darts in the shirt (Ken has much bigger pecs than Kimmy) but Ken’s pants fit Kimmy perfectly. As for Ken’s shoes, they tend to be too large (yes, Ken has bigger feet than Kimmy) but he can wear the shoes that are made for the 1/6 scale Volks NEO-EB Go Dollfie. He can also wear the Volks Dollfie Plus wigs.
