Kenny Scharf painting on the left. The galleries of the newly opened Sotheby's at 945 Madison Avenue contained an amazing array of artworks. Paintings, sculpture and illustrations - there's also jewelry. Many of the works are from private collections and most will remain in private hands after they are sold.
Station Wagon the badge indicates. IMHO, this proves the notion that Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) is but a "marketing spin" term for a station wagon. It doesn't matter if a station wagon or SUV is based on a car or truck platform. It is spin, spin, spin.

I'm confused about this vehicle. The online photos on the RM Sothey's Auction website show a dark green vehicle. In my photos appear, this vehicle looks dark blue or even black.

The preview show is held on the grounds of the Inn at St. John’s on July 29, 2016. The show kicks off the Concour’s d’Elegance of America weekend events.

I replaced the originally posted photo with this one. I reworked about 8 silver Porsche photos to improve the color balance and make them more consistent.

I had thought this car was a light gray, but the auction website shows this as a white vehicle. On the web, I looked up other images of this vehicle, and the results show variations from white to light gray. Perhaps my photos are a bit dark in comparison.

The RM Sotheby's auction preview is my favorite auction venue for car photography. In addition to cars that are on display in front of the conference center are a number of huge conference rooms with cars, cars, and more cars. Also, behind the conference center is an open-air lot of even more cars. Overall, this auction preview site reminds me of a car museum--something that I cannot quite say about other auction venues that operating during Monterey Car Week..
